Jack Black is just amazing. I once met him at the airport. What a nice guy, even when he had to catch his flight, he took a few minutes to talk to another music maniac. I'll treasure that moment.
That’s VERY important! You never forget the jerks! Danny Devito gets an AAAAAA++++++++ from me!!!!! Super kind and caring to us 4 ladies working hard in the tiny kitchen at a party he attended. He didn’t have to walk across the garden to our little kitchen twice to thank us profusely but he did!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One of the things I like about this movie is that the ending is true to the characters. They are who they are, but they've learned something about themselves and adapted to the new things they've learned. There is no miracle transformation, it's just how people grow.
Oh my gosh, the fact that you knew this music so well just makes this reaction even MORE special! Most reactors don't pick up on all that stuff! They still love the movie, but they don't pick up on, say, him using Whitney Houston lyrics in conversation! Your reaction to that part was PRICELESS! When you realized it was Whitney Houston, that was the greatest. So much fun! You singing along with Stevie Nicks, or AC/DC, or Led Zeppelin......cheering the kids on, laughing at the comedy......FANTASTIC reaction!!!! And now I go watch your "All About Eve" reaction!!! What a double feature for a lazy Sunday! THANKS KSO! 😊
This is by far Jack Black's best performance and movie. It's a little slow at first, but once he gets the band set up with the kids, it really gets going.
Jack/Dewey's stage outfit was designed like Angus Young, guitarist for AC/DC who wore a similar suit w/shorts in concert. And their group sounded a lot like AC/DC
I have watched you cry a few times to sad/emotional movies before but this is the first time i've seen you laugh as much and even cry tears of joy, it's great to see. I enjoy your reaction vids a lot.
This movie also makes me emotionally proud & happy at some parts, as a musician/lover of music myself. You can tell Jack Black really made a positive impact on these kids and they had a blast working with each other. The same way Robin Williams would in _Dead Poets Society_ (an amazing film). Teachers like that break the mundane and monotony of life and get you engaged. He teaches the kids to have self-confidence and about some non-conformity for an institution that is very conforming. The scene where Tameika voices her doubts due to her weight is simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting
Classic movie. Miranda Cosgrove (Summer in this movie who was on iCarly on Nickelodeon and voiced a character in Despicable Me movies etc) and Jack Black are awesome. And Joan Cusack (Rosalie Mullins in this movie and the voice of cowgirl Jessie in Toy Story movies) is awesome too.
Thank you for requesting this fun happy uplifting movie!!!!!! I love it and watch a lot of reactions to it! Always makes me feel good! Especially love the principal rocking out to Stevie nicks!😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉
Just subbed. Sommer reminded me of myself at her age only I leaned more on the nerd side lol. Yours is the best reaction (and hearable) of this movie. It's the best teacher/student movie I've ever seen since To Sir, With Love. Thank you 🎉
Fun Trivia: the actor who played Spyder (the half naked band member who was hitting on the Principal at the end of the concert) is now a Texas District Attorney.
When I first saw this I was not expecting to see the whole thing. It was so fun I have seen it many times and is one of my favorite films. This from a 72 yr old who relates to Clint Eastwood in Gran Torino. Your reaction was super good.
I have loved this movie since the moment it came out! I have it on DVD and I probably wore it out when I was younger because I watched it so many times. I had the biggest crush on Freddy. Sadly, the actor passed away in 2021 😢 I really enjoyed watching the movie with the cast commentary and the writer/director commentary. This movie was actually written for Jack Black! The actor playing his roommate Ned, wrote it and sent it over to Jack for notes; he was afraid Jack would hate it, but he LOVED IT! So glad you did too!
Have you seen “Dead Poets Society” with Robin Williams, it’s similar somewhat but non-comedy, Sub-Teacher and Students movie… please someone in Patreon recommend this movie.
God Bless dear lady from my mom and I Southern California USA 🇺🇸 we love and appreciate your channel! Another great movie with Jack Black you should totally watch is King Kong 2005 the extended edition directed by none other than Peter Jackson! He directed all the Lord of the rings movies! It’s a remake of the 1933 movie. You will love that movie starring Jack Black, Naomi Watts, Adrian Brody, and Andy Serkis who plays Kong in the movie. He also played golem in Lord of the Rings!! That movie is epic and it also has a little bit of romance in there as well. The music is beautiful and I can watch it everyday and never tire of it!! You will love it!! Take care and keep up with the amazing work!! God Bless and love to you always!! ❤️❤️🙏
The guy who plays the real Ned(Mike White) with the red hair wrote the film, appeared on Survivor, and The American version of The Amazing Race. He won Emmys for his work in tv for The White Lotus. The shrill girlfriend is comedienne Sarah Silverman talk show host Jimmy Kimmel's ex. The boy who played electronic piano for the band quit acting and went to Ivy league school Dartmouth. Zak got in trouble with the law later in life.
I know for fact I've watched this movie more than anyone on the planet haha I watched it 2-3 times a day for years when i was kid my mom said and i still watch it as an adult lol
@@ScenecrlyK.S.O. It’s a crime thriller movie and a young jack black guest stars with some major hollywood stars but he’s barely in it. A better movie with a young jack black is Airborn. He’s also barely in it, but it has an amazing rollerblading action scene.
I think The Koala Bears is a cool name for a rock band. The fact that it doesn't sound like a rock band name is what makes it cool. That guy doesn't know what he's talking about. He's probably never heard of the Welsh band Budgie. Metallica covered two of their songs,, "Breadfan" and "Crash Course in Brain Surgery"
