For anyone watching this in 2024 or later....I'm the lefty lead guitarist in this video (I couldn't get access to the old account I uploaded this video to). I just stumbled upon this after forgetting about it for almost a decade. After reading all these wonderful comments, I wanted you all to know that most of us in this group are still pursuing music in various ways. For instance, the acoustic guitarist in this video is now Olivia Rodrigo's touring guitarist. I currently play in a touring band called Eminence Ensemble. Most of us in this video are still doing the damn thing! Thanks for watching, everyone. Means a lot!
I am over 50 years old and when I see this I have hope for the future. If kids in 2041 are still playing Boston songs, the human race might just survive.
Well stated BLOWN AWAY BY THIS i have the space ship/guitar from the first album tattooed on my arm with "it's been such a long time," and my father's initials He introduced to this amazing group by playing it very loudly in front of me as a 5 year old IM FOREVER GRATEFUL RIP TO MY DAD RIP TO BRAD Both left us in the same way Both amazing men ♥️
I watch this video every few months to remind myself that kids are still rocking out to the music I grew up listening to. There is hope for the next generation.
I have no idea why it took the internet 12 years to show me this. But it's awesome! I hope all of these lovely young people are still out there making music somewhere! Great job everyone!
Wow, these kids were AMAZING! The lead girl is like a bomb ready to explode! The camera shaking when the guitar blasts means the camera person is rockin out too! Love it!
This video was posted 11 years ago and I just watched it now in 2022, and WOW!! The energy flowing from that lead singer was just crazy! So powerful!! I wonder where all these young musicians are now? 😎
This actually made me cry. I listened to this on my way to go skiing every weekend when I was 10 years old. It is great to see young kids jam to these tunes. Good for them! Long live Boston!
Man, that lead singer is a firecracker and what a voice! She reminds me of a young Janice Joplin! It'd be cool to see what she and the rest of the band is up to nowadays!
Fanyastic job of a very difficult and demanding classic rock song! The execution and adherence to the details and nuances of the song were superb! I would bet Tom and Brad (God bless his soul) would be proud! Outstanding!! These young musicians have much to be proud of!!!
As a guitarist - and a Boston fanatic - you all did an AMAZING job. The voices were great, the keys were perfect - and that lead guitar player totally GOT IT!!
Good lord that was fabulous! Gotta start with the drummer, he held it together flawlessly. Then the lead guitar player nailed every note. And the rest of them carried the tune perfectly. But the lead singer's enthusiasm was so contagious that it made the performance!
That was dam good, seriously now! Drumming, base, electronic organ, harmonies, lead vocals, and then our young 'Jimmi', lefty with very good control, just needs more confidence! He has been trained, you can tell! Great stuff, lots of energy and passion!
Oh yes these kids are fantastic it's amazing It seems kids play so well and singing so good Very inspirational especially songs that I grew up with I'm 72 years old I love watching these people say play and sing they're fantastic it's amazing how many people in the band they're fantastic Awesome totally cool very neat amazing
Boston's 1976 debut album was one of the best in the decade and I still have mine. These talented kids just nailed it. Long Time is my favorite cut from it. They brought back those wonderful memories since it's been a while since I got my album out. The cutie lead singer gave it everything she's got and then some. The late Brad Delp would be very happy with this.
It is so wonderful to hear and see this..very young girls and boys playing real instruments with such a passion and perfection! Singing with their hearts with such freedom, authenticity and real talent. Each and everyone enjoying real music made alive with no computers or tricks. Such a great experience! Congratulations to all!
way beyond what you might expect WOW!! Great performances all! Terrific to watch youth diggin' the songs we grew up on! We were damn lucky to be hearing Tom Scholz's "basement tape" creations in high school!!! Keep on rockin ya'll...
I was sitting in a discoteque an early evening in ‘76 with 4 other guys when the DJ put on their album in the background. We were all blown away after a couple of tracks and we HAD to know who that fabulous band was. The day after we bought the casette and cruised along in my car with Boston roaring from the speakers 😊
WOW WOW WOW as one of the biggest Boston fans on the planet - WAY TO GO!!!!! DANNNNNNNNG My father played THE HELL out of this album, this song from when it first came out until I left home , about 15 years!!!! I have played the hell out of it ever since I have a tattoo of the space ship/ guitar from the album cover complete with the words "its been a such a long time " This performance brought me to tears WOW MY father left us in 2001 in the same way Brad did It has INDEED been such a long time THANK YOU FOR PUTTING YOUR HEARTS AND SOULS INTO THIS ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have never seen this before, and im impressed! This is a very difficult song, because it have a lot of dynamics. I hope you all did well in life, since this is from 2011:)!

Thanks to all the parents like me who grew up in the 60's and 70's and introduced thier children to the music we listened to at thier ages. Great cover!
Watching this cover again and saw this post about 8-tracks. Back in HS the first Mod to my first car was to install and 8 track player and amp. That was the bomb back then. Second mod was flipping the air cleaner cover over.
Take’s me back to tape I had in my car 70s going down to Donington park watching the bike GP good time of my life not a care in the world well played ❤
I think these kids gravitate to the classic sound because the music was at it's best then and they want to be the best they can be. And doing a hell of a job at it! Keep on truckin you rock n roll kids.
Wow 12 years ago. Wonder where they are now. I can only imagine how much time and work they spent together to preform like this. I sure hope you all have great memories of the time you all spent together doing something positive and great.
Hell yeah! Arguably the greatest rock anthem ever. And a challenging song for every instrument and vocal. You guys absolutely smacked a HR!🎉 We need to know who the shirtless No. 1 fan is! 😂😂😂
Boston was my first concert, I was twelve, these kids parent's weren't even born yet. Just goes to show, great music is great music. My youngest is 19, he's all classic rock, ELO was his first concert, One day driving him to class he asked me if I had any Cream (I have over 8000 sons on my iTunes), he asked if I could play The Tales of Brave Ulysees", listened to the whole disc on the way to school. You don't have to be Old to appreciate great rock music.
