I was just thinking the same thing. As soon as this video begins, I counted all who were involved and that is just one more reason why Tool is an amazing band, because four super talented individuals can generate such an enormous sound. Three holy musicians and a set of divine vocals equals eight students of the craft. An ambitious video for the students. Bravo.

I didn't see any props or kudos in the comments for the guys behind the sounds. the producer, the engineer or anyone in the control room. I've listened to this over and over in my noise canceling headphones and the sound is FUCKING INCREDIBLE!!! SO HERE'S TO YOU SOUND GUYS!!! You deserve just as much credit and glory for the OUTSTANDING work you did in the control room. i spent 5 years in the studio with my brother in law. i know how much work it is to get the sound you want. it's an art, and engineers never get the credit they deserve! AMAZING JOB PEOPLE!!! i am just as EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with the work you did as i am with the musicians. OUTSTANDING!!!

One of the first vocal covers that compare to Maynard in regards to pitch alone. I love the other covers the kids do but this could be mistaken for a raw tool session and that’s absolutely incredible 🤙🏻 so nice to see young generation appreciate what tool offers

Idk how I only just found your comment now, but as a guitarist who recorded in the studio that day too, we were told we had to stand in the same place because of the cameras. Apparently the sound quality got messed up on the files at some point too, so I'm amazed this sounds as amazing as it does! Still waiting for Highway Star 😂 I'm on that and we recorded these last summer so hopefully it comes out soon

Every single kid here fuckin nailed this cover. The guitarists were amazing, but lets give a special shoutout to the Bassist, she was incredible and slapped alllll the right notes, the drummer for absolutely SMASHING this song with half the kit Danny uses and making it look effortless, and the singer for bringing Maynard's style into his own. This was a fucking blast to listen to and will be sharing this with many many people to come. GG guys

DAY-um! The "kids" today that are studying music just amaze me! Back in my day (I'm old now) all I had was a Sears & Robucks catalog drum set, a tiny little record player and some 'Realistic' Radio Shack headphones to first learn my chops with. This was a treasure to me cause my parents were not rich. Everything after that awesomely happy; Christmas Day, I worked for the money to buy on my own. I can only imagine the thrill they feel getting set up and laying it down in this pro studio!? The 'kids' in this TOOL cover vid are simply amazing!...ALL of them! NICELY-DONE! ;-)

I was thinking the same until one specific drum part in the middle of the song where it became clear to me that the drummer just transmitted the same feeling to me with his drums as Danny Carey does. The way he uses the drums is the same as Danny. So drummer all the way.

I stumbled on this by pure accident. I was with my wife and we were both insisting that of any band and of any song, this would be an impossible cover. After looking at the comments, I see the obvious...the music is very well done. Drums, Bass and Guitar were all outstanding....however, I agree 💯%, the Vocals are so epic....for a minute I thought they were tracking in Maynard's voice. Simply unreal!

#1 - The bassist - she KILLED it, never missed once. A very close #2 - the drummer - on such a minimal kit he owned it, no showing off, just pure skill. And an even closer #3 - the vocalist - made it his own because he had to and absolutely convinced me. Fantastic performance by all.

Glitch sorry. He was a drummer of the 30, 40, 50, and 60’s. But taught Neil Pert and other drummers, he told Neil “Stop being showy!!!” Did Neil listen, you know the answer.

Yeah same well at 1st I was like oh not bad n then i heard the creed voice thing so he might be able to cover them too if they remained relevant lmao cuz tool is timeless music. But that creed sound was there n I was like why dude just sing clean lol.
