Fun Fact: In the math part of this video, x is actually solvable. All we have to do is to find the roots of the equation. 3x^2 + x - 7 = 4x is a quadratic equation. We just need to transpose 4x to the left side of the equation, making it 3x^2 + x - 7 - 4x = 0. We can see that x and -4x are like terms, so we add them together. x + (-4x) is basically x - 4x, which is equal to -3x, therefore making the quadratic equation 3x^2 - 3x - 7 = 0. To solve for x, we can either solve using 3 methods. 1. Factoring 2. Completing the Square 3. Quadratic Formula I personally choose to solve it by the quadratic formula, as it is easier than the other 2. The quadratic formula is (-b ± (sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)))/(2a) In a quadratic equation, a is the first term/quadratic term, b is the linear term/second term, and c is the constant/third term. Since the quadratic equation is 3x^2 - 3x - 7 = 0, a = 3, b = -3, c = -7. Now, we place those in the quadratic equation, making (-(-3) ± (sqrt((-3)^2 - 4(3)(-7))))/(2(3)). To solve the denominator, multiply 2 by 3, which is 6. Now to solve the square root, we multiply 4, 3, and -7, which is -84, and because we are going to subtract this from (-3)^2, this becomes (-3)^2 + 84. -3 times -3 is positive 9, and 9 + 84 is 93.
