One thing I’m gonna say is that the first speedrun happened on a village seed that you can access in the seed menu. The fact that he didn’t even get a random seed is crazy.

The first speedrun was a set seed on bedrock edition. It’s called costal village.

Fun fact, it is actually possible for ruined portals to spawn, well, not ruined, it's just extremely rare

17:24 One of the reasons his game is so laggy is because at 16:14 when he hits F3 on the right of the screen we can see that he doesn’t have a dedicated GPU and he’s using the onboard graphics and I’m just assuming that because he doesn’t have a GPU it’s really laggy or it could be the recording software or it’s the fact that he’s playing on a Mac

I can confirm that ruined portals can spawn fully built. I've had it happen once before so it must be really rare.

I found a complete netherportal in my latest world :) I didnt even noticed until I had build a big part of my fort I had planned to use the world to do. It was quite cool so I lighted it and then got back to continue building and have still not actually used the portal 😅

I have in my survivel world a ruined Portal, that is missing one Obsidian, there is no crying Obsidian and in the chest is one Obsidian and a Flint Steal. And that in a abandoned village. 😂
