My school district had rules for teachers as well. My 6th grade math teacher explained it when we asked why he always wore the same type of sweater during the winter. Basically the men had to wear nice pants (no jeans) and a button up shirt or sweater and dress shoes. The women had to wear either pants or a skirt, a nice shirt, and dress shoes or heels. My 11th grade math teacher even had to wear button up shirts when it was super hot out because he had to cover his sleeve tattoos. No shorts were allowed, even though the students were allowed them before Oct 15 and after Apr 15.
*How come teachers say *school is only for learning* but they be getting u in trouble for WHAT you wear ;-; like .. What the fuck does that have to do with LEARNING*
Uniforms are to be worn absolutely daily Monday through Friday no matter what during the school year. The uniforms policy should also be strictly enforced as well. I am even for colleges and universities to adopt a dress code policy as well as I had seen stuff that worn that I would deem inappropriate to be worn to class
Personally, I am both pro and against making kids wear uniforms. The good side of it is that kids and their parents do not waste a lot of time, energy & money on clothes. However, uniforms suppress kids’ need to be unique. I think that they should not be put into limits from childhood. They should have the freedom of expression. Of course, I am not saying that they should be wearing gothic style clothes to school or dye their hair pink, but they should find their unique style, the one that is comfortable for them to wear.
Yes. In elementary and middle school, both schools had a loose dress code. When I got to high school, the school district implemented a STRICT uniform for all K-12 schools. On day 1, I hated it. By week 2, I loved it. It made getting dressed so much easier in the morning and eliminated the pressure of keeping up with trends/wearing certain brands. With that being said, I understand the argument that it takes away artistic expression but the primary focus with going to school is to learn, not show off your outfit. There’s after school and weekends to express yourself. When I have kids, I seriously hope they have to wear uniforms to school.
I wore uniform from Kindergarten to Middle School. They used to have a uniform policy in High School. But in 2014, They abolished it in favor of a dress code. It's strange because I wore uniform throughout 8 years of being at school.
I wore uniform from 4th grade till now and I am in college it was my choice plus I was jealous of those students who went went to schools with uniforms.
