You have a beautiful family Richard! I love seeing the family involvement. Im raising some dog women myself. Much love and best wishes. Thank you for everything you did and continue to do for the community. You bring a very positive light to the dogs.
That was one of the best interviews I seen on RU-vid you can definitely see how family plays a big part in these dogs having your daughter do the interview was beautiful and thank you for all what you have done in the game
Have been watching all your videos and I must say thank you for sharing all your knowledge and stories of the past and the dogs you have experienced first hand, absolutely amazing, this video is probably my favourite so far, great to hear how your family has been involved in your life regarding the dogs, also full of interesting information and great questions, clear to see from your great interaction with your daughter you are as good a father as you are a Dogman much respect 🙏 and blessings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I appreciate your kind words and support. Glad you like the channel. We're a close family and we wanted to express that in the interview. Respect to you.
This was a great video with a new twist with the content. No disrespect whatsoever, Brother. You have a beautiful family, and I am very envious of you and the way that family is absolutely the most important thing in your life. My favorite uncle came originally from Mexico, and he was absolutely the exact same way. It's definitely a culture value that is instilled within the Mexican culture. He is also the reason that I became a boxing fan by the time I was 8 years old, celebrating with my Uncle Jesus when Duran fought like a man possessed and handed Sugar Ray Leonard his first professional loss. I also think it's badass that you know Benny"The Jet" Urquidez and had an opportunity to meet Schoolboy Chacon, absolutely one of my all-time favorite fighters ever. I'm looking forward to watching part 2.
No disrespect taken and I'm glad to hear you liked the vid. They were great fighters and Duran is my all-time favorite. Chacon was very exciting and tough as well, especially in his later years. Respect to you
What got me in to bullterriers. Was from about 5-6 years old. My grandma had a collie dog called pip from when I was born. Very clever dog. He was my best mate from born. He got attacked by a German shepherd and almost lost his foot. From that day on I went for dogs that could stick up for them selves. Got a pup of a dog named suzie 2 x roll winner from farmers boys x with a dog named Dylan. Wigan boys blackjack, he had a few scraps and that was that. Superb dog though
Thanks so much for your time and for your dedication to our shared passion. It’s been great to learn from you and understand more about how to better care for our beloved breed. Thanks again for everything 🙏🏼
You're welcome and I appreciate your kind words and support. I'll do my best to keep the flow going through vids and other avenues. Much respect to you
Glad to hear that. She's helped me with getting the chat going and handles alot of my "dog stuff" and I'm very proud of her. Couldn't get it done without my family
Thank you Schoolboy, your information and teachings is helping the future generations including myself preserve the greatest breed of dog EVER. Finished The Big Red handbook and really enjoyed your personal accounts and storytelling! You’re a tremendous help thanks again !
Amazingly, your intro to the Bulldog mirrors mine to a large extent. My late great uncle was a dogman in BTR, LA and when my dad would take us there I would always get with Uncle Danny and we’d go out with the Bulldogs. He also had Catahoulas and game birds. At the age of eight or nine I knew the Pit Bull was special. I, too, loved boxing and I would watch Friday Night fights every single Friday and I would score the rounds on index cards. I bought the Stratton book and literally wore it out. So I bought a second copy. Within two years I purchased my own dog. It’s amazing, looking back, my parents let me keep him. I took him everywhere. LSU’s campus - got in trouble as he would scream trying to get to (live LSU mascot) Mike the Tiger and it unnecessarily aggravated the Big Cat. Southern University, downtown, the levee, we were constant companions. Now I delve DEEPLY into the history and we have communicated on FB about the Alaunt, etc. This is awesome, brother. May God bless you and your family. Keep up the OUTSTANDING work.❤
Thank you very much for your kind words and support. Yes we share similar stories. I've been on hog hunts with catch dogs and Catahoulas. Very good dogs. Those Friday Night Fights were good ones and I have dozens of VHS tapes of many, many fights. ESPN ones too. Once I acquired pit bulls it was the only breed I kept. I appreciate your input. Thank you brother
Great interview. We rarely get to hear from the children of the dogmen we respect. It's one thing to be a great dog man but you can tell schoolboy was a great father also. Thank you for this.
@@richardgarciaschoolboy7746 Selfish ole dudes they were.. In my mind, it only educates the novice to do it the correct way.. There have been some that will sell you the opposite of what they have in their yard..smh.. True sign of a bs dogman.. I personally didn't care about hoarding a certain line etc.. If you got a great dog, I'm happy I could assist.. Selfishness is why Wallace/Kommoski blood are extinct..
@@richardgarciaschoolboy7746 do you believe in breeding amstaff or staffordshire with your pits I mean it's basically the same thing I was just wondering if your staffordshire is game and so is your pits does it matter to you ?? That's how they did back in the day
@Que That was certainly done in the past and more currently I know hog hunters who crossed staffs with pits to make catch dogs. As long as you have a method to your madness it can work
@@richardgarciaschoolboy7746 thank you sir I was just wanting to prove a point to some friends I know hog hunters do it but people with gamedogs say no they don't have the wind or they quit on top well mine doesn't some may not have the wind but the bone structure and mouth is impeccable thanks sir
Schoolboy I wonder when you started if you knew what it would turn into. Also so positive of an experience to maintain your family during this entire process of life. You never sacrificed your family for your career.
Back I didn't realize what it would turn into. I had an idea that I might right a book but not even close to what it's become and I'm great full for how it turned out. I can thank my family in great part for motivating me and supporting me as well.
I appreciate it. Yes I ship to the UK. Contact me on Facebook messenger or my email richardjschoolboy60@gmail.com or on Instagram messenger for ordering details-SB
Great interview Mr Garcia and thanks for answering my question about the workout schedule also thanks for answering my question about Big Red's matches n level of opponents.
Mr. García, I got a question regarding Mr. Boudreau, I came to find out he is going through a really tough time and I know there is a friend helping him out or trying to, are you guys aware of his situation, also what can you tell us about him, the two dogs I have came from my great uncle who brought them from Mexico and they came there from Mr Boudreau's yard that is why I am asking, thank you, you got a beautiful family, saludos a todos
Thank you for your kind words. Mr Boudreaux is at an advanced age and I'll but he still has a clear mind. His family is taking care of him. He's a legend in the dog game,a great breeder and family man. Many top guys acquired his dogs and had great success with them.
