Tookie Knows II is literally the epitome of street life in la and is one of the most visceral songs I’ve heard coming out if LA. Q is a goat he definitely needs to give himself more credit and more grace he is an amazing artist.

I wasn’t crazy about CrasH Talk at first. Mostly because Blankface was such an amazing album and naturally I compared the two. However when revisited CrasH Talk months later I must say that album actually SLAP!!!🔥🔥🔥 no it’s not as introspective as Blankface, and that’s ok. But it’s still a solid body of work. Q has nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to that album.

Yeah, when this album came out it was my least favorite of Q’s even being that there’s bangers on it. My fav albums and artists are very introspective. I'm glad he figured it out, a lot of artists just ride off into the sunset once they find that comfortable spot, putting out albums that all sound the same but a little worse each time, until they're just selling tickets on nostalgia, apologizing for playing their new songs at the concert, etc

There’s a difference between critically acclaimed shit that his day one hardcore fan base would fw and something that’s more commercial and doesn’t get as good reviews and love from the core fan base but casual music listeners prefer it cause it’s popular or more mainstream type shit I think in a way is what he means.. fw Q heavy but he hasn’t topped oxymoron or habits and contradictions imo

Blankface was his masterpiece. All of his albums are dope.. but blankface was IT. Oxy was ALMOST there.. but Blankface CAUGHT it.. whatever IT is. Crash Talk was dope.. but in a very different way. Like.. it was not what i wanted from Q.. but it aint about what I want.. his art is about where HE'S at.
