Looks nice. The recurve seems to be good for carving like that. I see two things I am not sure about. First that small section of jimping seems to be in an odd location. Not sure it is needed either. Second I think it would had been better with a flat spine. Did it chew up the baton while you were splitting with it like I expect it would? Oh steel is a bit soft, but if you want nice steel you have to pay for it.
