RIP Shaun. I was actually at this gig and it was amazing to witness such great players in such a relaxed and intimate venue. Such a shame it can now never be repeated.

They are all phenomenal musicians, but who came here to see Matt Ramsey play that bass?

How ironic is it that I stopped by today (3/15) to check out the band on my birthday and my name is Monica! Thank you all for the birthday song! That was some fine singing!

I was there the night later at the Jazz Cafe...one of the most enjoyable gigs I’ve been to and I’m a regular at Ronnie et al. Shaun is a lovely warm and funny man, a great musician and the band is very special indeed. This is jazz with soul and Mike Mitchell (ex Stanley Clarke) a young drummer in a million...his very musical attack is beyond percussion ! Matt Ramsey is a young Stanley Clarke with the ability to go beyond that level of invention 😱. I’m not in the Industry, just a passionate jazzer 🤗. Good luck Guys. Chris Loynes

The first time I saw Michael play with Stanley Clarke, I SHIT a BRICK! They were 12 feet away at SPACE, Chicago. I mean I was there to see Stanley and never heard of Michael, so my head was darting back and forth to try to watch both of them! I told my friend he may be Tony Royster Jr. because I hadn't seen Tony in years. The banter that Stanley gave Michael was pure love. Stuff like, "Did you get your driver's license yet?" ~ Cracked everybody up. Mike would go into his solos, and usually no matter the drummer, I can follow 80% of what they are doing. with Mike, after 10 seconds, I was LOST! I had no idea where "that sound" came from. I have seen Buddy Rich three times. At the risk of committing a sacrilege, IMO, Michael is better!

shaun.....bruh threw Beyonce on top of yellow jacket! Mike is 100% crazy and musical, Matt just blows me a way every time I hear him play, you can hear is soul come through his bass!

Man I'm speechless. Just speechless. Love this!! Matt Ramsey plays bass for Kirk Franklin as well. They're all great musicians. 👌
