One of the best, if not the absolute best, for adventure touring. As a typical German product it lacks styling and colors combination, but if you find one you like, you will be completely satisfied with its performance.
Thanks Schuberth! I've enjoyed the presentation and I think that the E2 is today the best ADV helmet in the market considering the new ECE 22.06 homologation and its integration with the equivalent to the Sena 50S. I would go for it but my head sizes "better" for Shoei (Neotec II) being 57,5 cm and in the C5 I am in the middle of 56/57 and the next 58/59, the first being small (I enjoyed my previous C3) and the second being "large". You know about Shoei "head" or Schuberth "head" Ah! And your DE English accent is very nice! 👋👍
too bad Sena was chosen for the audio. I have the integrated Sena system on my Nexx helmet and I sent already the system 3 times back for connections problems. I finally bought the Cardo Packtalk and works perfectly. The weight of the helmet was not mentioned, but I guess we can find it on the website.
You have addressed the three most important subjects....the ventilation, the noise and the peak of the E1. Great news. I love the integration of communications as well, how the mic is attached was very cool. I have been happy with my E1 (except vent, peak and noise) but will now consider the E2 for my next helmet purchase :-)
Probably a good helmet .... when they will be able to deliver it! So far, they are not very serious and they are months late in delivery in Europe. I personally chose another brand because of this.
Why not develop a comm module with Cardo too? The comm choice is usually dictaded by what your usual party uses, i sincerelly can't undestand why can't we have a common plug, to plug to any model of comms.
Sena must pay them more. Sena seems to have deals with a lot of the helmet manufacturers. I think the helmet company reps must either not ride with comms systems or be on the take, as Cardo is the comms system of choice for the people ;)
Well I like my SC2 and to be honest both Sena and Cardo are so similar in their feature sets that I doubt anyone really chooses them because of their respective features, the only reason people buy one brand over another is those shitty proprietary connection standards, Sena and Cardo really should come together and develop a universal mesh…
@@Simoxs7 it kind of exists but I am yet to bring it to life - have both Cardo and Sena and can't pair them up. I agress Cardo should just build a similar to SC2 module and sell it - would cover both C5 and E2. That would be a slap in the face for both Schuberth and Sena. Well deserved I may add.
An adventure helmet needs to be fairly tough to meet the demands of real world adventure riding. What work has been done to to address latch failures (I have seen them first hand on fairly new E1 helmets)? Three or more shell sizes (the norm for premium modular helmets) would have been preferable.
Hello, the SCHUBERTH E2 is plug-an-play with the SCHUBERTH SC2, which has been developed in collaboration with Sena and is based on the Sena 50 series.
Hello Brian Schieber, The SCHUBERTH E2 is using a Sena based intercom, but you can use it with your friends who are using Cardo communication systems thanks to the unviersal intercom, which allows you to connect your SC2 with any other comm system from other brands. Kind regards, The SCHUBERTH Team
Not happy with my E2, concrete grey one, paint is still soft enough to leave marks with a nail press and is chipping by the flip up button. I have sent Schuberth an email just for their feedback/thoughts on the matter, but no reply yet. I thought the Grey ones were reduced in price both now in the C5 and E2 because of the Colour, I think it is actually because the paint finish is a problem. Hope they do reply to my concerns.
@@SchuberthTV I have already had to send the first one back for a fault, so possibly going for a third Helmet doesn't interest me at the moment with all the hassle returning it. As I understand it there is a 5 year warranty, so it would be nice to actually get some use before having to return it again.
@HW100 hi what's update on your helmet; have you managed to return /replace it? Do you think the paint issue is on the grey? I saw other comments again on same colour
@@haushi29The Paint is soft simple as that, it has not cured properly imo. Very soft on the flip up but a bit harder on the main helmet, but still soft. I have had three little bubbles appear on the right side of the flip up that when I cleaned the flip up they just came off so have three small black chips now on a Helmet I have used three times . If you are thinking of buying one, don't would be my advice. Judging by the crap quality control on the Paintwork, not only soft but also polishing marks all over it, what other checks are they skimping on? I wouldn't put my head in one now, that's for sure. Mine will be hung up in the Garden as a Hanging Basket, just as a reminder what a con Schuberth Helmets are. Check out the 1.8/5 score on Trust Pilot.
The anti roll off system broke on both my C4 Pro Carbon and my wife's. Actually mine broke in the first 2 weeks of using it. If you do a security system, maybe is great idea not to strap it on a little piece of thin and cheap plastic, held in place by a tiny screw. After they break, they will rattle inside the helmet driving crazy the comm system. The only other negative point on a C4 is the front vent, that will whistle when closed for not being air tight. Despite these 2 shortcomings the C4 Pro Carbon is the BEST HELMET in the whole world. I will not replace it ever, even for the C5. When will break, I will buy another C4. The field of view for the C5 now is the same with the Shoei Neotec 2, and that is a pity. I own also a Neotec 2 and I can say is way worse than C4 in all the aspects. Is noisier, heavier, warmer, you can't open the visor with the right hand and the field of view is narrower.
I disagree, C4 is having big issues , low ventilation , always foggy screen in wet or cold weather , pin lock is crap, I replaced several times with no effect , communication system failed and needed replacement …luckily on warranty. Hopefully C5 we’ll do better but I don’t see improvement on pin lock. Anti roll off system fails are definitely not short come. I sent back my C4 to be fixed and it took 2 months to have it back. I tried the new C5, totally different shape I need a lower size didn’t have the chance to ride with it.
@@emilvva Yeah, it seems you had problems with it. None of them for me. Only my wife had to change her PINLOCK once after 1 year. But after 2 years, it's still my best helmet. Shoei even doesn't come close...
I love my e1 so I bought a c5 but the visor is a problem the mechanism wont keep it open above 30 and nothing can be done schuberth don’t help . Also we pay for the integrated senna system which is very poor in use and doesn’t fit well inside the helmet . Such comfy quiet helmets but i fear the e2 will have the same problems , the most basic thing is visor function and if you can sort out that basic there is no hope .
Hello Mr Parkes, Please get in touch with the dealer where you bought your helmet or get directly in contact with our service centre at service@schuberth.com. Concerning the E2, we have been listening to the comments of our users and have modified some aspecrs of the helmet. First of all, the visor mechanism has been completely reviewed on this helmet to solve the issues from the E1 and its unstable peak. Besides this, thanks to the stronger visor mechanism, the issue of the C5 and the closing visor has also been solved. Kind regards, The SCHUBERTH Team
@@SchuberthTV thanks for the reply , i had contacted schuberth last year when i got the helmet and my dealer but no luck , hopefully now there will be a fix and i can use it more . My e1 has been great i love this helmet ive ridden over 30000 miles in it in all kings of weather from Spanish summer to sub zero British winter
Hello Adam, it fits all head shapes as the SCHUBERTH E2 is part of the SCHUBERTH INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM, which allows you to customize the head- and side pads, in order to guarantee a perfect fit to all the head shapes.
@@SchuberthTV thanks for the reply! Do I need to go to a special retailer for this service? I have a long oval head and it’s notoriously difficult to get a helmet with a good fit
Hello, we tested the viewport with some of our colleagues who are wearing goggles, and we can confirm that you can easily wear googles with the SCHUBERTH E2.

I'm sorry Schuberth but for a company with such a well known and successful product I would have expected a much better presentation. If you are going to present a video in English then your representatives should, for the international market, be able to at least get the pronunciation of the English wording correct. Exmples that stuck out; the word 'two' came across as "chew"( an easy way to say it is to say the German word 'Tu'). Also the word 'lever' , this is easily correctly pronounced by saying it as if spelt with an 'i' before the first 'e', as "liever'. Another was the word 'Peak' which sounded like "Pick", again an easy way to learn the correct pronunciation ist to say it as if spelt "Pieck' I also recommend that you sack the choreographer as not only was their 'dancing around' distracting, it made them look like they needed to go the toilet. I do hope you take these criticisms on board and are not offended by them as they are meant in good will and better luck with future promotions. MfG Richard.
But you could also do with a little help yourself when writing in English, it should be ""an Arab country", besides at 71 I think I've probably had a better life than you up to now and still ride.
@@boermetroer1714 The problem with London is that it is a cosmopolitan city, which like others has mixed accents, you said "most" which means you also spoke with you could understand perfectly. London, like all other parts of the UK has it's own regional accent, most of which would be no good in the international advertising world. When advertising in a world market though it is important that all that world community you wish to target understands straight away what you are saying and not having repeatedly to replay the video/ recording to work out words said. So pronunciation is important.
