Schuberth’s E2 is an inevitable follow-up to their C5 flipfront. It has all that’s great (and not so great) about the C5, but with the addition of a glare-busting peak.
We've dug into every aspect of this helmet, found out everything there is to know and worn one for hundreds of road miles to get a deep understanding. Our review will give you the good, the bad and the in-between to bring you fully up to speed with Schuberth's modular 'adventure' helmet.

I bought a C5 then adapted the interior using the long oval kit and am delighted with it. Overall the build quality feels less than my Arai's but as a flip front helmet it works well for summer touring. Great review of the E2!

Will the E2 accomodate goggles? great video!

It'll accommodate them (just), but they will look terrible (in my opinion) and you'll lose the ability to lift the chinbar. Cheers, Tony

Tony, is Schuberth sizing consistent? Would I buy an E2 in the same size as my C3 Pro?

Yes, it's broadly consistent. I wore the same size E2 as I did C3 Pro, so that would be the best starting point. Cheers, Tony

Can you move to Canada or get a store in my area, I find most here only know the basics

I'll have a word with the boss. If he extends our store expansion plan to cover Canada then I'm definitely coming! Cheers, Tony

I have a C5. I've had a terrible time with the visor dropping down at speed. I contacted Schuberth to repair and they sent me a new visor -- same issue... Any other of your clients see this issue?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 5 месяцев назад
It's something we saw more frequently when the C5 was first released, and Schuberth had a solution involving retro-fitting o-rings to tighten the visor's fit. I suggest contacting your dealer again to say the issue hasn't been resolved. If you bought from us, you can contact us via support@sportsbikeshop.co.uk, quoting your order number. Cheers, Tony

Offers buying the comms at the same time?

Buy comms at the same time as the helmet and you'll not pay VAT on the intercom. This saving is applied automatically at the checkout on our site. Cheers, Tony

E2 or Arai X5?
@sportsbikeshop
@sportsbikeshop 5 месяцев назад
They're very different helmets. The E2 is, in my opinion, a touring helmet with a peak. The Arai is a more versatile adventure helmet that can be sensibly worn with goggles. Both have their advantages, depending on how you intend to use it. Consider how often you'd open the chinbar on the Schuberth and how often you'd wear goggles with the Arai. If you expect to do one of those considerably more often than the other then that is most likely the helmet best suited to you. As ever, this depends on fit. If either of these helmets causes you discomfort then the other one is the better option. Hope this helps. Cheers, Tony

The ultimate touring nerd helmet and instructor special. Only two shell sizes is very poor so I wouldn't touch this helmet personally, it costs Arai money and I don't see the value.

Nope say no to heavy helmets . It's ridiculous with these new standards they should really try to lessen the weight anything more than 1.7 should be banned

Too much weight on your neck for a long time can't be good. if you are wearing a good lightweight highly rated helmet I'd wager it's better for your overall health and comfort levels.

What on earth did they do to make a carbon composite helmet weigh over 1.8kg it's absolutely ridiculous. You'll get a bicep work out just dragging it round the shops.

And yet reviewer has said he had no neck issues while using it, neither have others who have used it for hundreds of miles. It's almost like speculation means nothing and you need to actually try it. The bigger issue is the only two shell sizes and the fact that it costs Arai money.

@@flippy66 You're not wrong. The balance of a helmet is as much a factor as the weight of a helmet. A lightweight, but poorly balanced helmet can cause you more grief than a heavier well well-balanced one.
