Oscar Fabi gotta say though: I can't really blame him for joining Ferrari instead of Red Bull, and for joining McLaren/Honda. I mean, would you say "NO" to either of those teams at the time? First, if Ferrari summons you at any given situation, you go. They're the biggest team on the grid and the scuderia that 11 out of 10 drivers dream of being part of. Second, picture Ron Dennis (who had fired you in 2007) calling you back to be No.1 at the same partnership that had dominated the series in the late 1980's with your biggest idol in the sport (Ayrton Senna) at the front.
@oscarfabi_

@mgecko2959 5 лет назад
@@giorx5 its the same argument that people use in 2008 debate on how Massa is "true champion". Season lasts 20 races, even back then it was around 17 races per year, you don't win or lose championship in single race. Now put that last race In the middle of the season and have other races finished as they did and you end up with the same champion.
@mgecko2959
@mgecko2959 5 лет назад
@M5 racing first of all when MSC first retired from F1 he was 38. Just year older than Fernando is. Secondary that rookie who beat him was no one else than great Lewis Hamilton by now 5 time world champion and arguably one of the best in history of this sport. He also beat him with 2nd place finishes as they had same amount of points. You also forgot to add that the same rookie was beat by same person who have beat MSC as a teammate 3 times in a row. That doesn't make Nico Rosberg a goat, its just circumstances. I don't agree with statement that Alonso retired Michael from F1 but what you are saying is pure BS and lies.

It was more like the Bridgestone tyres that dethroned Schumacher in 2005, in 2006 if the engine failure in suzuka, and the puncture in brazil doesn't happen, Schumacher would be 8times champion. His last drive with ferrari in interlagos was absolute pure champion, way above anyone, even Fernando.

2005, i was 8 and my step dad was watching f1. i watched with him from time to time and knew who schuhmacher was (im german) and i was cheering for him. when he lost to alonso, i got really sad, even tho i wasnt even that invested into the sport. 2010 i actively started watching F1 myself, didnt miss a race and the only one i remembered was Alonso the guy who rivaled Michael, so i started cheering for him and then Vettel won, i was so sad, last race, i was sure he had it but nope. Still a fan of Alonso, hope he comes back, just as much as i hope that Michael can recover.

I'll be honest that one made me cry. I don't know why, the others made me emotional and respect both, Michael and his competitors even more but this one? So many emotions. I was born in '95, I'm German, my father always took me to watch races (eventhough we never could afford F1...) So naturally, growing up Michael was THE hero. I had a 5 on 2 Meter Flag of him and Michael Schumacher blankets. And his battles against Alonso where the ones I followed the closest and remember the best. And after Michael left (the first time) my eyes wandered to Alonso and I became a big fan of him. Him leavin this year, and now this video...so many memories and so many emotions came up. Keep on fighting Michael, and Fernando you better get your ass back into a F1 car, you got at least one more Titel in you with the right car.
