Michael Schumacher impressively reacts to a crowd invasion on the track, and manages to avoid hitting anyone. This came prevailing his win and his inlap back to the pits (Monza, 2000).
@@glynnpowell7864 Point is they should not be on the track with a race. No one was hurt so all is good. Thanks for the reply Glynn and I respect your opinion. Yes they moved but they just need to be careful. All the best.
He had a ski accident when he was on holidays. There is not much public Information about his condition but if he is Alive he is probably paralyzed or braindead or something.
@@ninetailedfox579121 Really? I often watch it on RU-vid and the fans seem to watch from the boarder and definitely don’t act like Group B rally fans. They watch close but not TOO close.
I find myself in about the same situation, or maybe even worse, in the Gilles Villeneuve racetrack in Montreal in 1980 or 1981, (but at that time it wasn't named like that as that was only the second Gran Prix in that city). They were selling cheap tickets to see the race standing from behind a wire fence, no seats, and and watched it in that very tight curve in the East corner of the track. Once the last lap came some guys started slipping through a hole in the fence and running to where the big stand was as the track looked rather empty. I did the same, alone, as I saw no car coming. But I was right in the middle of the road when a car appears as ligthning and in just a couple of second it looked like it was already on me. For a moment I pondered, if I jump back I could get in the way and be struck and if I jump ahead it will be the same. So I just stood there, like a post, hoping the driver would get my idea, which he did, he passed right behind me. So the day ended up far better than it could have been for both, and for the race and the track itself. But he wasnt Schumacher anyway.
What's crazy is in some countries, it will be Michael and Ferrari sued if he hit anyone.... Even though its the fans deliberately putting themselves in danger
@@BrightGGhs727 Permanently disabled due to brain and nerve damage. He can't speak or move properly as far as we know, but who knows how bad it is. The family has been extremely secretive about it.
Crowd mentality. Just like a mosh pit or a passionate protest shit turns south fast if people get into a mentality of togetherness. You would’ve been just the same “Hell yeah let’s go in the tracks!” As the 1000s of you chant together
@@yashburman7640 it doesn't matter how much you know about the political situation of your home if there are two morons who can outvote you Not that it mattered since voting itself is something that recquires trust in the government
@@ThomasPolman1983 Speaking of the Austrian dude, the passionate speeches and large crowds were a big tactic when he was establishing himself. Imagine being a townsfolk, stumbling across this huge protest with an angry mob, getting you all riled up “Ms Jenkins from across the street has a huge house because she’s Jewish and ripped off the German people!” Or some nonsense like that, plays with your emotions for their agenda by getting huge mobs of people.. then a Jewish man walks down the street and the whole mob goes after him, so much adrenaline you don’t stop to think what you’re doing. These speeches happen every day in your town until eventually you fully believe it and don’t put up a resistance to the slaughter of innocent people.
Underrated, stupidity is at its peak when they are in large groups. Like pigeons waiting for a vehicle be as close as it possibly can before flocking away.
@@zarrowthehorse ah yes saying "I wouldn't be on a track while there's an active race going on" is "holier than thou" lol yea I definitely wouldn't be down there because I value not being hit by a car.
@@Littletime839 Michael could've stalled if he slowed down too much, so he was probably still driving over 50kph/30mph while avoiding people. And he still had to steer away from them.
nah it was a track invasion meaning that's probably the safest spot for them, if they were sitting on the walls or standing on the gravel then they were fucked
Nigel Mansell actually hit a fan in '92 when he won in Britain and the guy had his leg broken and had burns all over from the hot tire but the dude didn't care and he was happy it was Nigel who hit him lmao.
@@jordancven2540 Not really unlucky, just a bad decision. He knowingly went out of bounds whilst skiing and paid the price for it. It is sad and no one should have to experience it, but he could've avoided it easily
I've seen crowd invasions in other sports, always thought it was dumb, this is got to be the dumbest one yet. I just feel blessed every time I cross a public street and arrive alive on the other side, these people are deranged.
No, to be fair YOU sound deranged. If you fear for your safety when you cross the road you should probably wait for a responsible adult to hold your hand and guide you across.

The radio silence is prolly to allow the world to keep him in their hearts the way they last saw him. Buuuut....I'm not bs'ing myself into believing he's doing "fine". Not after suffering severe brain injuries despite wearing a helmet. The speed of the impact must've been so high that it bordered on a miracle that he didn't die instantly.
I would've never guessed he was in a skiing accident. He's just got that will to go fast or die trying. Sorry his first accident had to basically end his life. I tore my ACL last year after crossing skis at 50mph (80kph), my first accident. I'll never walk the same. But life is short anyway so I'll be out there next year doing what I love.
It's even more annoying when you think of the fact that if he did hit anyone he would probably be in A LOT of trouble when it wasn't even his fault in the first place.
It would have been his fault or at least partially. People talk about how much skill this required but at anytime he could have just stopped to avoid hitting someone who was too close. There was no reason to jeopardize people' safety just so he can get through.
@@user-mt4ny2zw7t yeah but remember how fucking smooth those tires are after going hundreds of miles got a few hours even if he pitted he’d stills probably slide and hit the person he wanted to stop for

It would have been their fault if something had happened for sure but in my opinion he should have been a bit more responsible and drive more slowly. He sure was. Remember how I, as a Häkkinen fan, didn't see it at the time. But by time I've seen(and realized) it more and more. He was really passionate of what he was doing. And out of what we see today, it looks like he did wonders with the Mercedes team as well since after he left and a certain brit took over his spot that team became nearly impossible to beat. Not to "clank down on" LH, he's an amazing driver nonetheless, but obviously not as great as Schumi when it comes to developing great team packages. But got to take the hat off for what Hamilton have done so far though, in F1; Loosing rookie year by smallest possible margin, more or less. Same time beating a former 2xWorld Champion. Won over all teammates except one year when he lost to N.Rosberg. And beeing as gentlemanly as possible despite what happened last year. How stupid do you have to be to get in front of a moving vehicle meant to be insanely quick. Each one of those people should have been banned from those events for life
Honestly what Michael Schumacher did here is way more impressive than Group B. Group B drivers are used to that, they literally treated the spectators as trees. This is completely uncommon for Schumacher. You can see how he reacts to every single person, carefull driving around.
Geniuses. "Let's all get onto the road to welcome our favorite racer to the finish line!" at the one point the road was 100% covered, there was nowhere for him to drive until the guy ran off lol
I grew up watching this legend do what he did best. It's sad the way his life turned out after that unfortunate events. I hope he's doing ok. I really miss Mikey 😥😞
Weirdly Schumacher saved the most lives via his own ski accident. After the massive media coverage of his tragic accident in German speaking countries, the percentage of ski tourists who would ski with helmet on rose by a lot, statistically this prevented many deaths, probably dozens per year. I think for young kids it's even legally mandatory now to wear a helmet whilst skiing.
@@cancrusherify I know he wore a helmet. Or did you think i was trying to say he did not wear a helmet, because i did not say that, and i did not mean to imply that. The media reported without a helmet he would have probably died. Even if the helmet did not prevent him from getting hurt, it still most likely helped. The media attention to the issue of ski accidents and discussion surrounding the issue made many more people wearing helmets. I personally saw the difference, i went skiing multiple times a year back then, and before the accidents very few people wore helmet, afterwards there were helmets everywhere, it basically became standard. Myself and my family included, everybody in our ski group bought helmets for the next vacation.
Watched this, remembered all again and went to check how he's doing now. It's been almost 9 years and it's hurts as much as before. I believe he'll deal with it anyway, all world believes.
