Schuylkill River Soujourn: CNJ 113 with a CNJ 3 Chime & N&W Hooter 

There is only one 3 locomotives that are truly worthy of wearing the sacred hooter, 113, 1218, and 1309

That N&W Hooter Whistle on 113 sounds like N&W 1218!

N&W hooters have such an Erie sound to them, but they are my favorite hooter whistles

Lovely video and just as lovely a hooter. It's not an N&W whistle though. The shape of the bowl and the domed bell tell me that it's a Lunkenheimer hooter. Not the first time I've seen a Lunkenheimer hooter sound like an N&W hooter.

Hey, when I got a closer look at the hooter whistle, I realized that's not the one made by the N&W, because the top is not flat and the bowl doesn't resemble the other N&W Hooters. Because that it has a round top and a rounder bowl, I think that could a Lunkenheimer hooter whistle. But hey, at least it sounds just like it!

It was not a N&W Hooter on the engine it was a Lunkenheimer from a Mine Lokie in Tamaqua.

i dont think thats an n&w hooter. it looks like a lunkenheimer 6 inch plain bell. although sounding like an n&w hooter, their not the same.
