Great short and the Vega Phantom Stealth helmet that doesn't even need to be modified by production - a great motorbike helmet that sadly no longer available but the closest you got to a sci-fi cyber looking lid

Interesting throwback from 10 years ago! Sure some of the tech is laughable today but it makes for good cinematics just the same. Congrats HaZimation team getting this (and hopefully other well-produced content) onto Dust.

Right at the start I was thinking: "Those screens are so extremely distracting! Who thought that would be a good background/visualisation for a presentation?" I also was thinking that it is not secure at all to have a "sync" release a hard drive to anyone who can grab it; the person whose retinal scan is taken does not even face the port that is exposed. Besides, have they not heard of multi-factor authentication? Even my e-mail appears better secured than this(!). Still, It looks really cool of course, so as a plot device it works. Technology running amok works well almost every time even if it does not make sense in the first place. So I would still be interested to see where they take this.

I used to watch DUST a lot previously - but I don't anymore as I feel I've just watched a teaser trailer of a film I'm never going to see 🙈 and most of them are amazing, which makes me feel more sad they're not full movies, complete series 😢 content is amazing, I just wish they were full stories - I would happily pay to watch them 😁

Interesting concept, though I recall having seen this here before, it's not exactly "new" (2025 in the far future . . . ). Well done professional production quality, well directed, the premise being that electronic data transfer is too risky in some situations, so physical transport, ironically, becomes the new tech solution for this. Maybe . . . but in any case, this could certainly make for a full length feature film. Hopefully they can get funding and support for further development.

Description of a tool at 2:21 reminds me of the one in Bruce Sterling's "The Zenith Angle" :) Couple of things that spoiled the film: 1. "Cold war cyber weapon" - come on, who would be interested in this, especially in the far future? :) An antiquarian? (provided that's our universe's Cold War of course). 2. It's definitely not a near future, but architecture and cars look a bit archaic even for the present day.

It feels like I started watching an interesting movie and then they told me “F*** you.” Hah, seriously, I would like more. Sometimes I don’t understand why the creators of such short films don’t make a full-fledged film for at least 40 minutes and release it on RU-vid. Since they are capable of creating something that I watched, they could probably handle a full-fledged film. 🤔

Ehh...that's what it does. That's all it does. Kind of derivative. Fine for a short I guess if you want to demo the CGI. otherwise, not very interesting.
