Sci Fi Short Film. A young scientist harnesses the mysterious properties of a meteorite in an effort to atone with the past. If you like it please share! Another short film I made here • Post Apocalyptic Actio...
She is so great. Her expressions are so conflicted and true to life. Yup, I’m committed to my work, but after all that’s said and done I would stay here with you. Sad, true, and something else too. Great film.kind of reminds me of The Fountain, but in a saving yourself way.
Maybe I was a bit presumptive. Human touch is such a precious thing, it should be shared in the right frame of mind more often. Share in love, share your life, share your experiences, we shouldn't need machines to travel backwards.
This was great, beautifully done. Very touching story. I can not decide what was more stunning, the cinematography was great the story even better and the two women are stunning.
Bob Spencer It wasn't that he thought he could change the past, it was the alien rock manipulating his mind so he could keep coming back for more, until it finally got him.
Superlative. As I recall there was a show that touched on a theme and a transition similar to this called I think the secret world of Jennie Logan which starred Lindsay Wagner I think. As they were drawing closer to the end I knew just what they were going to do-- but even so it was just most excellently done.
At the end I thought of the Pink Floyd song High Hopes, ie "the water flowing, the endless river, forever and ever." I almost didn't finish it, but the girls face was so perplexing and drew me in.
I see the use of some ferrofluid made a nice FX. Good short, there are some ambiguities left at the end, and keep in mind that (experimental) scientists usually share labs, and work in teams. If you have persisted a little bit more on the scientific part of the story the term SCI FI would fit better. Now, I got the feeling that I have watched mostly a romantic story, with the sci fi element just filling the background.
ferrofluid - gotta love it spoilers: argh! but did she drown in his final “reality?” I waited the entire film - through all of the repetitions (thinking each time I might finally know) to find out... I’m so frustrated even so - big upvote
