More About "Explorers":
Explorers is a short film which shows an idealistic look at the future of space travel, seen from the perspective of those who dare to venture into the unknown. The film is a tribute to science fiction films of my youth and to those real life pioneers that inspire it. A solo project completed in six weeks (in my spare time) and produced entirely in Unreal Engine 4.

In response to the Neil deGrasse Tyson quote. I'm reminded of a Family Circus cartoon of the little boy climbing a hill and saying that he was the first person to do it. What he couldn't see, what the cartoonist drew in, was the ghost images of children going back in time doing and saying the exact same thing.

Explorer l' inconnu a quelque chose de magique. Fascinant et terrifiant à la fois. Cette envie est en nous, très profondément enfouie depuis longtemps. Peut être pas par hasard, allez savoir. Rêver, imaginer, explorer, découvrir, c' est un programme très alléchant :)

The visuals were great, but this felt less like a movie/film and more like a series of rendering engine or PC/console hardware demonstrations. The scenes were beautifully done, however.

It was obvious to me at some point in my youth in the 80s, I wanted a fully immersive experience with graphics indistinguishable from real things. What I didnt understand then was how fast things seemed to move in that direction. Moores law? I just wanna know will we colonize the galaxy? It just seems so glaringly obvious if humans cant control their violence on Earth how can we even focus on a space program?

nice animation, not a lot of story. There was some sort of escalation, but it wasn't linear, and it was more about possibilities than improvements later on. I'm kind of confused, as most of this seems like taken from a game engine.

dust is a channel that promotes users that make these since dust has a big following the maker of the videos gets attention easier then if they were to upload it themselves so its best to ask the maker if theyd make a feature length film

It's a wonderful vision of a possible future. This is going to sound very political and that isn't its intent, but since everyone here has watched this with imagination, What could happen to the length of time people could live, and in health, if instead of spending nearly a trillion dollars annually on "defense" (Against what country that's attacked us? I seem to forget.), we spent that much on prevention of disease, illness, and extending healthy life for all of us? What could happen to the quality of life if, instead, we spent that much on improving the quality of life on earth and not just slowing, but reversing global warming? And, where would we be if, instead, we spent that (inflation adjusted) amount, starting with the first moon landing, we spent it finding a real, practical, way to explore our galaxy? Please don't judge this as political. Please, like on this magnificent video, use your imagination. Thanks.

Personally thought it was great, took me on a journey from the moment the girl started exploring to advancing through the ages, discovering more and more and cuts back to the girl still stargazing but grown up or future generation of the girl. Thought it was brilliant personally, and deffo a film in every sense of the word

This is probably one of the few I didn't like. It is just a collection of short renders without any notable story, or at least very vague. Even without dialog you can still give a good story, and this isn't it. :(
