Love you guys!! Thank you for clarifying that you don't normally encourage the front bending stretches. I am a fitness instructor who has changed her classes because of watching your videos. I no longer have them bending from the waist and hanging. Thank you so much

Hi bob. Would u recommend going back to gym after recovering from sciatica with litlle centralised pain in the lower back?
@kirstymacfarlane1620

What you want to do is hinge from the hips when bending forward and using your core muscles to protect your low back. This helps me immensely! I need to do both types of flexion because I have spinal stenosis but I also have retrolisthesis and bulging discs. Listen to your body and if it feels good do it, if you have pain don't! Hope this helps xx

I'm thrilled to subscribe to your RU-vid Channel. I didn't expect to have this challenge (low back pain.) Your insight is helpful and I find it helpful to adapt and utilize accessible tools ie a (Yoga) strap; you mention a towel roll; I found relief using an inflatable plastic ball for back support. Bob, I look forward to the day I can do press ups.

Highly recommend a blow up lumbar support pillow when sitting it’s a lifesaver. It’s been a year and 6 months since I had my disc issue the one saving grace were the press ups, I did not do surgery I walked and stretched and upped my core strength to be where I’m at today. The rehab process is a slow one but stick with it and let your body heal

Thermarest Lumbar Pillow you can pick it up on Amazon, you can deflate it to make less cumbersome when traveling. I fly for work and it really is a lifesaver while sitting on a plane.

could you guys cover the annulus fibrosus tear and PT along with DDD? I know this type tear usually involves a herniation. However, sometimes the MRI looks quite normal but a tear in the outer disc ligament tissue has developed with no visible herniation. Sometimes referred to as the leaky disc. Said leakage works to inflame the pain fibers usually resulting in pretty bad leg pain in both legs. Also, inability to sit or stand for anything but a short time, otherwise severe pain develops mostly in both legs and feet. healing is reported to take 2 years or more, sometimes it does not heal. So what exercises to do? I would think any exercise creating more disc pressure would push fluid out each time u do that exercise, slowing healing. So maybe cover what to do? Please.

Regarding the various sizes of back pillows, I'd like to suggest the inflatable pillows (see Amazon). Great way to find your own comfort level. Great for travel!

Dear Bob and Brad, thank you for the video! Most of your videos are relevant for me since I have back issues. Could you please talk about jogging and back pain? I hear different opinions. From absolute No to jogging with back pain to Yes but with precautions. What's your opinion please?

Would chiropractic care be helpful for the buldging disc/sciatica once the healing has begun or wait? I have moved from extreme pain (9) to mild pain (3) and am doing these exercises.

I worked with my chiro through out. That being said my chiro knew I had a disc bulge off the get go and did not adjust just because. Once healed more he became more aggressive with adjusting my lower spine and even then not much. He found my base line and kept me at it and allowed me to heal properly.

@@christopher27531 no problem, like you I was in 9/10 pain for a good while. It's been a good year since I first started with symptoms. I'm now at 1/10 at my worst times. Alot of times I'm without the pain. One thing I can do is help and provide some support to others. I wished I had it when I was fighting though the pain on the daily.

Hi Bob and Brad. I'm wondering if you are able to help me Please? My symptoms is spinal stenosis, chronic sciatica and compressed nerves in my lower back under my spine above my coxis between the 2 dentation at my back. Pain is to the right of my butt and in my groin, in my sciatic nerve, my thighs, right leg, calf, ankle and my big toe. Then I can't feel the floor under my leg. The pain starts in my right leg to the right side of my calf and spread down to my ankle and into my big toe then spread up to my knee and thigh to the right side of my bottom. My leg give away and it is excruciating painful when I stand for only 2 minutes or less. When I sit down with my leg up the pain ebbs away but as soon as I stand up the pain comes back. The pain goes altogether when I lay on my belly. But I can't live like this. I am a multimedia artist who create art by painting, filming, photography and using other media's Since all these pains I'm unable to sit for longer than 15 minutes, stand for 2 minutes and walk for less than 2 minutes. I'm currently preparing my artworks for Hamburg, New York China and Shanghai and Beijing exhibition this year 2022. Even though I am in extreme pain. I do all your videos on RU-vid and it helps alot! Thank you! I first had the sciatica in both sides of my bottom but after I done your exercises the pains from my left has gone it's only now on my right side. I noticed that I can't bend to my right side either with this condition. Please can you help me with this. I've had the MRI scan but the results hasn't been back yet. I am Allergic to all medications and all painkillers with Asprins, codeine, Ibprophen, morphine, co-codemol, co-dydromol they give me severe side effects of lumps on my scalp and swelling in my neck glands and face my mouth lips and tongue and my ear drums. I'm allergic to medications even vaccines also. So I rely solely on the exercises to relieve the pains in my body. I also use hot water bottles and ice. Which use to help the sciatica pain in my back and my bottom. But it doesn't work on this current symptom. I can't even make a sandwich or a meal anymore as the pains in my right leg is extremely painful. What I have tried so far. Is all this exercise stretching every morning noon basically every 3 hours in one day every day. I floss standing up and sitting down, I stretched my leg to the side to the back and front, I do nearly split which helps a bit to take away the pain. When I walk sideways it seems to help but when I try to walk normally it does all the above symptoms. I do one at a time leg crunches bend my knee up to my chest, yoga cobra and upper dog. I'm wondering if it's due to my right knee not being able to bend fully what's causing all these pains in my my butt and leg😟😰 this severe condition started last year firstly with the pains in my groin and worsening to the current now. I asked my GP to send me for MRI scan from last year also to hydrotherapy pool for exercises in the water and they ignored me. Now it's become extreme to this stage. I also have damaged ulnar nerve in my both elbows, caused by using crutches. Carpal tunnel, rheumatoid arthritis in my fingers but I exercise them every single day keeping them flexible. As I love painting so much creating art is my passion 😍👩🏾‍🎨 I love painting so much......! I have umbilical cord hernia pain but I wear a tight compressed shorts to hold the hernia in while I exercise. I don't understand why I have these painful condition at all. As I use to do karate, Aikido, aerobic fitness yoga, dancing, walked everywhere swim play soccer always active. I use to organise art exhibition for international artist and myself but had to stop when this condition musculoskeletal started. I am 56 years old soon. And feel that I am too young to be having these conditions. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hips. But since I turned vegan and cut out tomatoes the pains in my knee has calmed down a bit not as painful. I eat healthily I exercised every single day and still 😳 I have these conditions.....! I was on heart medication and that stopped as my heart healed. My kidneys healed. But my nerves pains are worse. I don't understand why I'm having these pains. I am a little fatter than usual but that's going too. As I am working on it. I became fat due to the steroids in my inhaler and the heart medication made me fatter. I just need this pain in my right leg and butt to go. So that I can get outside more to do things. All I can say is thank goodness for internet or I would really suffer.... I can't stand for more than 2 minutes to have a shower but I suffer the pains and force myself to stand to finish showering and bathing. I stretch my arms and hands and fingers as I find that this helps to relieve the pains in my fingers and hands and wrists. I'm not on my phone typing as this too hurts my fingers and elbows. If you can please help me with this condition I will be so grateful and will paint you a free painting to say thankyou 😟😍

Why Bob why!!!🤭 My mom has a tear & bursitis, but she lifts things. I told her to watch you two, & I think she's just going to do surgery instead. I told her how you just put out a bunch of shoulder vids. I will tell you they have been helping me. But yrs ago I was in therapy and I hate press ups. They are not your friend. They are very uncomfortable.
