I love your video about betta fish ! My female betta lives in a 4.5 gallons tank with filter and lots of hiding space. That’s the biggest tank I can provide. Hope it’s enough space for her.
I got a white betta with a slightly blue iridescent tone on his fins so I figured he would probably turn blue when he destressed. Black, he turned almost entirely black and his bright blue eyes turned dark too.
We have full video on that exact topic. If you have further questions, please comment on that video to help. 👍👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l7riHQdwhyM.htmlsi=FYbO2PAGMbmTtSnx
the color change is a real nuisance. all of my fry have changed color several times in 5 months. many are ending up with an ugly marbled pattern from the beautiful blue/red they started with. i want bettas that stay blue bodied and red finned their whole life. any tips? allowing them to spawn to find out they are not the right color is a big waste of time.
Fry changing color is normal. If you understand their scale layer, you will realize it’s part of their growth. try to stay way from marble gene, buy pure red or blue from reputed breeder who can confirm there are no recessive traits. It will produce more soild colors when they fully grow. But still not 100% spawn. Check my betta genetics playlist. I covered genetics and how to predict fry color with examples. Hope it helps.
@@aquadiaryofficial yes, i watched the genetics vid. i think it says the solid blue is dominant over the marble so f1 should be solid blue over recessive marble. so that's why i am surprised i have so many marbles now. perhaps the solid blue female had some recessive marble genes that were not not apparent.
Bettas do just find no actually they thrive in one gallon tanks and there is even mini water fall and air filters for one gallon tanks.I recommend father fish channel as well for betta information.but for sure any thing is better then a cup.
See, my opinion is.. betta can survive in 1 gallon with filter and heater. But are you giving best life they deserve? I studied domestic/wild bettas for long time. Did some research papers as well. Human can live in 8X8 prison cell. But it doesn’t mean he lives his best life. If you consider to giving better life to your betta, give them bigger tank as long as you can afford. Honestly there are better benefits. We had Timelapse video analysis on betta life style in 30 gallons flat tank few years back. In 3 weeks, betta fish covered almost 93% of that space. This tells betta don’t stay ideal even you give bigger space. Honestly, sometimes father fish talk cringe, old thoughts. It’s like my grandfather talking why only women should cook.
Brother I put my 7days old betta fries to 5 × 5 ft ciment tank and i feed brineshrimp twice a day...now they are 21days....but some of fries are lie down on the bottom of tank...what is the reason for that... do you have whatsapp number
