You could make it so that wild ledybas evolve to ledian but breeded ledybas evolve to the mutated form if their mother held a determined item while breeding. This way you mantain the bug archetype - evolves fast - but still can control when does the player get stronger pokemon - since he/she wouldn't be able to get the mon until he has accessed the daycare, which can be placed accordingly to that in the region. What I'm saying obviously applies not just to ledyba, but to any fakemon that represent gene mutation
A cool way to reintegrate the vicvillion concept could be by making the mon evolve into the natural or polluted version depending on the location where you evolve it
Idea for others if I don’t get around to making it myself: a castform variant based on triple point and forms of matter, specifically water. It has a shell made of clear ice with boiling water inside. I thought water and ghost/ice/flying would be a good fit for it. Ghost is my favorite pick because it references how this castform is in between states of matter, like how a ghost is in between life and death. Maybe the ability gives it stab with ice and flying moves? Or just give it refrigerate. Feel free to make it to anyone who wants to
i love all your science videos. theyre all so interesting because i get introduced to new science concepts and i also am reminded of ones that i already know. the pokemon designs are also REALLY good, i wish they were real pokemon ingame
All of the designs showcased for the 2022 contest were amazing. My favorite has to be the new Vivillon variant and Graphink. While I can't enter the contest due to me poor art skills and no platform to even do the art, I am still excited to see what this new contest will bring.
Still absolutely happy to see you liking my Clauncher, and I appreciate the shoutout If anything like that is coming back at some point, you bet I'll be on board ! That is, other than possible translations for your future game hehe :) EDIT : Welp, it is happening it seems hehe. I'll try that out then
Seu clauncher ficou massa, sabe eu tinha uma ideia mas como não sei muito de ciência ou de desenho eu não vou mostrar mas ver alguém se esforçando é muito bom
Great video as always. Have you ever heard about calf Frosty? It was first animal created from frozen then thawed embro. Maybe could be nice material for some ice type?❄️🐮❄️
Hold up, I'm not exactly a long-time viewer, but most of your actually Pokemon-based information has been accurate in my experience. This time, the ability blurb for Technician (shown for the regional Shellder) isn't. Technician doesn't boost STAB moves, Technician boosts the power of moves with low base power (e.g. 60 and below) by 50%.
Idea: VACCUM DECAY, also Anti-matter, dark matter, or even dark energy. They’re all very fun topics and you could do some cool concepts based on them. Giratina is already anti-matter but it doesn’t really connect to how antimatter works and what it is. Oh the cosmic microwave background (CMB) would be a fun one too, there’s a lot of cool astronomy and cosmology concepts you could use. I have an idea for a glimmet variant based on the relation of dark matter and galaxy and star system orbits, along with black holes, feel free to try out this concept everyone.
I was not aware of the existence of the Hox Gene, and that it being altered or damaged is what's responsible for what most people associate with the word "mutation", due to pop culture. You learn something new every day! (If you're willing to, and if you're anywhere but a school based on the archaic western education system)
There is a lot of science ideas I wanna make into Pokémon and it’s kinda hard to choose one. Or it was made into one already. I am looking for suggestions tho or some Pokémon inspo.
Quick question about the contest: when you say the design must reference a science concept, are math concepts acceptable? I would assume so, but i think I should ask anyway.
Look, I won't be able to participate but I leave part of my ideas in this chat a convergent inspired by the slug capable of photosynthesis, and a frog which is inspired by blood cells and the arrow poison frog to which the first stage refers to a cell multiplying and a tiger inspired by its ability to paralyze with an unheard roar and plasma I hope I helped someone with these ideas
@@n0rtist ok but follow up on this, can you add multiple pokemon in one tweet as long as it fits on 4 images (asking because i had planned complimentary designs of 2 related pokemon from different lines)
I submitted a regional variant, i forgot to put some things and i only included the image of the pokemon but no description or information about it besides what its based on
Man, I like your videos but bad audio just annoys me and give me anxiety cause every time I hear a glitch sound my mind goes straight to thinking my earphones are broken so I go to other videos to check, hopefully your audio would be better next time
Could someone make element unown, referencing the periodic table of elements? You don’t even need to give me credit for the idea as long as I inspired someone to do it
@@welkin7321 The psuedoscience 'Mon I had in mind was a Grass/Psychic Cacnea line based on acupuncture. It would deliver small pricks in friends to sooth their nerves and heighten the senses of allies, and project painful spikes of mental energy in enemies. Think of a needle made of brain power.
