Observation 18: Subject Zedaph has done the work for us this episode as he gives a tour and tallies results from all of his research stations. From the Pitch Drop to the Farm Arm, everything is re-visited. I know that we're to be impartial, but as a brewer myself, I believe the ComBREWter 2.0 is the most useful, whilst also being the most fun. Who hasn't tried to toss pizza dough or flip pancakes into the air whilst cooking? Silly and functional. His experiments on fellow Hermits have proved very useful for our observational team, but thanks to the final experimentation, the Chamber is out of commission for a very long time...possibly forever. It may be more financially responsible to just build a new one. We're still working on the final data gathered on subject Zedaph, whilst also taking into account the bias of the testers for the session. There's a lot to unpack. Regarding the moon: as the rest of the server scrambles in the face of certain destruction, Zedaph seems very collected and calm, even enjoying the startling lower gravity as a new way to get around the base without taking damage. In good scientific practice, he remains objective, but also has a sense of finality about him in this latest report. I believe this to be a "goodbye" of sorts to the laboratory that he has lived and worked in over the last six months. Zedaph's attitude is admirable considering what we've been doing to the environment. It's an interesting behavioral test, isn't it? What would you do when faced with impending doom? Additional experiment: Over the course of a season, can viewers acclimate to the new jazzier intro and be just as fond of it as the previous version? Yes.

Given the odd blocks flying in the air and the strange gravity you were experiencing, you may want to reevaluate your anti-grav experiment data to see if there is a connection. Couldn't possibly have anything to do with the moon. That would be a lunar-tic hypothesis, right?

Zedaph, please experiment on scar. He has a baffling disregard for his own life, and I'd like to see how he'd do in a specially designed chamber, possibly something similar to etho's hurtin hermits

I love the stop motion timelapses! Such a unique way of doing them and they look so neat!

I rather like the big orange octopus, but I suspect they're better when they're intentionally placed. Astute historians from the future will note that this horrifying overview was a key event in the development of the Hermitcraft Science Ethics Council. The reasons for its later collapse stem of course from other factors and fifteen shulker boxes of TNT.

That was a really cool stop motion timelapse, especially the first part where you were walking down the mountain and the blocks were magically appearing.

Definitely seems everyone is preparing to wrap up a season "We collected" instead of "we have collected so far"

The stop motion timelapses really quickly became a cool distinctive feature I associate with your channel.

That definitely felt like a season finale, the chamber experiments were one of the greatest gems of this season, can't wait for more science in future seasons!

Why did I get so emotional watching this, feeling like the lab is coming to an end? It’s been fun so I’d be sad to see it go. I hope Zed at least keeps his science goggles on in the rest of the season.

May I suggest, in season 9 you could be a spy, and build mini bases in other peoples bases and observe them.

Zed....why is this feeling like a goodbye to the lab? :'( because this was a triumph. I'm making a note here: it really was a huge success. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Zeds Lab, he does what he must ,because he can. For the good of all of us. Except the ones who are dead. But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake. And the Science gets done. And you make a neat wool wall. For the people who are still alive. I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now. Even though you are breaking my heart. And killed many villagers. You tore them to pieces and threw them piece in a fire. As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you! The lab is still alive :3

Cool demonstration of how a graph can be messed with to make the same result look drastically different. The sheep all gave a roughly similar amount of wool, but the cooler-looking chart makes it look as though some of them gave five or six times as many wool as the others. Which just isn't how Minecraft sheep work.

Hope you're going to be back for the 1.18 stuff coming up! You're very funny and creative and you have good rapport with the other hermits. I'd really like to see you mix it up a little more often with the other Hermits, but I understand everyone has a real life and scheduling is tough, nonetheless, we appreciate you and your contributions to the server.

Love the stop-motion style montage! The Lab and it's experiments on the Hermits this season has been an absolute highlight. Love the shenanigans and watching the Hermits question themselves and be all nervous on the spot. Too funny!

I have suspected that the whole moon thing meant the season was ending. But Zed ending all his experiments completely confirms it.

Next season I would love to see you base with someone like Ethos and Iskall did this season.

I've always like things sticking out in the right places. In fact, things that stick out in the right places are probably my favourite things.

I feel like this kinda confirms that the season is ending or they are completely wiping out the map or going off the island for 1.18

After seeing this video it is kinda confirmed for me that season 8 could be coming to a end everyone is mostly done with there builds and I can't believe how short this season my be but how fun and amazing it has been thanks for everything zed.😁

I love how Zedaph is so disconnected from the rest of the server that even the moon situation doesn’t really affect him that much At least, in the sense that he’s not forming cults around it

You might be able to get rid of the spillage on the harvester by replacing the slime blocks with honey blocks.

Is it just me, or did this episode give off major “end of season” vibes. I hope not, it’s only just started! 😅

Heads up Zedaph. Chopping the y-axis in a bar chart so that the scale starts above 0 is generally bad practice in data visualization and is viewed as misrepresenting the data. I would recommend normalizing the data first then graphing. (I got a very similar looking graph when I experimented but I wanted to make it obvious that I took a course recently on data analytics :P )

Been a while since I've watched a zedaph video but the improvements he's made in editing is nothing short of stellar. And that isn't to say his editing prior was poor, because it's always been above average, but now it's even more professional and enticing. Extremely well done!

Zed you should make a very thorough (maybe tedious) tutorial on the combrewter.... that is the best machine Minecraft has ever seen.

Seeing this video and channel for some reason just reminds me how much school needs to change, so many opportunities to make it more meaningful and haver a better experience compared to crunching before exams then forgetting 110% of it in a week.

That mountain terraform looks great and so does the timelapse also I think the comparator activating the farm arm needs to be on subtract mode (right click) but it’s hard to tell from what we saw

Subject zedaph seems to have no problem with the moon. Unsure if he is pretending he didn’t do that to the moon, or if he can fix it, and doesn’t want to because of happy floating. Subject has successfully created many science experiments in other hermits, and sciencey devices. Well done zed! Love ya!

As much as I loved every single Chamber episode, I have to admit the Combrewter 2.0 is the best of all your projects this season.

Just realizing zed has a legit mad scientist island like all the old cartoons and spy movies... needs a SAM site and sea mines, traps and cameras all over the island jungle, and a secret sea cave with a submarine in it.

The fact that he's showing all the contraptions he's created. It is making me nervous that Season 8 is ending soon.

With time, life, and remodeling my parent's house I missed like half of everybody's hermitcraft videos. Thanks to hermitcraft recap I was able to somewhat keep up with what was going on. Im watching all the hermits final/good bye videos. With the new season just getting started I hope I'll be able to keep up with them.
