Damn, I just got done playing with them and didnt think it was that bad. I play indoors and i thought traction was pretty good, it was grippy for me until dust build up but just one wipe and cushion was ok. My foot feels fine. Cons i guess would be lack of padding around heel, not light, insole, and it kinda looks like a LeMelo. Its like a budget MB01.
I don't think they're that bad at all for $100. Initially they're snug in the toebox (at least for me), but I can feel the materials loosening up the more I wear them. Traction is very good. The cushioning isn't spectacular out of the box, and isn't even close to zoom strobel, boom, etc, but it's not the worst I've ever felt underfoot in a basketball shoe.
compared to all the hoop shoes i've tried this year (jordan zoom separate, zion 3, new balance freshfoam bb, dame 7 and dame 8, nike kyrie infinity, and lebron 20's+ Lebron witness') these shoes are great. I mean the zion 3 is definitely great, and regarding traction issues mine are fine and I have had 0 issues with the traction after I wipe. The Lebrons are easily top 10 bball shoes all time imo, and the uppers are amazing. everything is perfect about the shoe. The dames are great performers but are beat out by the newer hardens, the kyrie infinity arent top tier, and are outdated. The bron witness' are mid, not great, probably good for beatup and outdoors, but I dont play outdoors and am not willing to test. The zoom seperates are also good, but are outdated similar to the infinity, but if you can get them at a good price then its worth it, even though they are farily restricting around the mid-forefoot. The freshfoam BB are top tier, the traction is great, and the cushioning is also top tier. Regardless of that I still love these shoes, traction is great on my courts, I am a bigger guy but the cushioning is pretty nice, so i think powerforwards and shooting guards would like these. the materials although cheap, still feel good on foot. I also really like the lacing and I dont know why, just nice feeling around my foot. The heel lockdown is shit though, and the overall side to side lockdown isnt great either. I reckon for the price these are good, but could be better. The overall shape is decent, although it can get quite tight around midfoot, however I am size 11 4e and went up to size 14 like with all my other shoes, and these fit perfect width wise, and have a little bit of extra space in the toebox. If you dont have wide feet you could (If your feet are super narrow) maybe go down 1/2 or 1 size dependant on your sizing needs. These shoes are great for a shoot around and for the price I would recommend. As for the Ae1 releasing, if you want a better show for a little extra cash they would definitely be the better option for only $20, I haven't tried them but from what I've heard, they seem like they will be an amazing shoe. Regarding the Scoot 0's I would just recommend waiting until they're on sale, I think if you can get them for sub $80USD or sub $150AUD then its definitely a good buy.
have you picked up the AE1's? I saw the drop on he game day and Tommy Liu had a video about an hour ago. Obviously makes sense if it hasn't arrived yet.
Ok i will say it. Puma, you wasted a good design and colorway by not having good cushiong. In my opinion, none of your cushioning foams are good. For a company with a long heritage like puma, you all have no business having anta, and lining having better cushioning than you all.
Yo W vid the shoes look nice but sad that they aren’t like that much of a good Basketball-Shoe🥲 btw do you mind telling me what pink socks you wear they look great
