I think it's mostly down to the way he automates the 303 parameters such as Cutoff and Env.Mod. It's more dynamic in the original, almost a melody on its own, here it's more static. Still great though. And ofcourse the missing subtle air horn which makes a huge difference. ;)
It was never my intention to go over all their songs. I was just curious to hear this song without the live audience and Baxxter MC'ing :) Sometimes those "sound nerdy" things pique my interest.
you can find demo's of that library here on youtube, and buy it on 8dio.com it's called studio soprano's they have multi vowel staccato voices that i used to produce these
One question which effects did you put on the "Asspad" bcs i recreated the patch in Lush101 but it sounds too thin, could you tell me which chorus and reverb you put on?
@@CosmicD some Sounds are much better than Mine... Could you Tell me which other presets you used and i would mention you in the comments of my next video
@@talnomix3164 most of it is custom made, on omnisphere and spire, + a combo of abl3 and amplitube, if you don't have all these it's kinda useless to say
@@CosmicD Oh no problem, i have all of these. I have nexus too, i saw some clips named "nexus 03" and stuff. Here is a google drive link to my recreation, still some things are missing, but the main instruments and drums are in there. drive.google.com/file/d/1SUdNwef_uZi0w5NaPgje74UbX6uxhYJ_/view?usp=sharing
@@CosmicD the only things i dont like in my version is the pluck sound which starts at 0:43 of you project, (sounds just not right) and the "vacuum gate cleaner" or what ever you named it. i think sometimes the 303 has too much bass, do i have to automate that inside abt303 or with fabfilter?
A note or two are off on the main synth but awesome work still! Vocal-less Hyper Hyper would have been awesome! EDIT: Can't stop listening to the beginning of the track! :)
if anything, I think I don't modulate the TB303 cutoff enough in hindsight. But yeah, just because there's no other version in existence than the one with live audience , it creates this "mandela" effect.. of how you remember this track and how you hear it here, and then somehow there's something missing. Because that live element is integral to the track itself. It would be interesting to hear life is live without the audience as well for that reason :)
@@CosmicD Yeah, I get that. It's funny as I look back at my electronic journey... From Scotter, through Prodigy, Kai Tracid to the Brooklyn Bounce boing sound and many more. It has always been the TB303!
I think that's like a variation on the hoover sound with organ riffs in between. But in my mind, that doesn't particularly sound very iconic... But that's my personal appreciation, of course.
@@CosmicD There have been some heavier early 90s rave choons with a similar synth used as afterbeat (I don't know the right term for it) to create that famous rolling rave stage.
