Not to defend the 6 days argument, because it isn't true. It took God millions of years to "guide" the creation of the universe. However, who doesn't purpose their life, their entire life, and everything in it, too? If purpose arrived here, did materialism create it? Is purpose an aspect of materialism, like an end, a conclusion? That would be ironic. Impossible, too. That people would believe such a claim is a more serious issue.
The movie has many inaccuracies in it...the movie was actually a statement on the McCarthyism period.....the trial actually took place outside because of the heat under tents so they could get some wind..Darrow and Bryan (Drummond and Brady) were good friends as the movie implied and the people actually greeted Darrow with open arms....Bryan was the one who introduced Darwin's book and quoted from it....however, the theme of the movie "USE YOUR MIND TO THINK" is what the film is about......not follow blindly but use your God given brain...and move forward.....instead acting like Mississippi where people can be discriminated against because of religious differences.....Thought we had overcome that ugly partof our existence...
+SETX Bubba You can purchase the actual court transcript online at Amazon for three dollars. There are also many websites that point out the "inaccuracies" (i.e., LIES) in the movie. There are so many people who have an axe to grind against religion that they fail to see it is not an "either/or" choice but should be about seeing how the two things fit together.
@@utubetommy Movie never claimed to be a documentary. And you fail to understand that science and religion frequently don't fit together. They operate on fundamentally incompatible mechanisms.
@@DrownedInExile Hardly. It always amuses me that alleged scientists, who care more about creating viruses that contaminate humans and kill them in the name of overpopulation, yet still cannot find a cure for the common cold or cancer, rail against something far superior to their intellect than they will ever admit. So they destroy life in the womb that they still do not understand, fearing that a superior being yet undisclosed is a far greater scientist than all the scientific charlatans combined. So you hold your views and I'll hold mine. God IS the greatest Scientist. You & others are so afraid to acknowledge that, as if it would demean your views. All the scientists in the world since the beginning of humanity are still scratching the surface of how all of these biological wonders came together to make up a human being. So you play God while creating Frankenstein Monsters, trying to outdo the Master Creator. Slick lawyers are no substitute for the Creator. Neither are cocky wanna-be scientists.
Already have a copy of the Transcript. Bought it online several years ago. Also watched the movie at least twice. Put up job, just like Hollywierd always does. And they got a fallen away Catholic (Spencer Tracy) to play the lead role.
