I often have this sentiment. I was sad when the 80s were over, and again when the 90s were over, and after 911 was another "scary new world" moment, as was the election of Trump. 1989 and 1990 are barely different, but in my mind they seem light years apart. When 2009 turned to 2010, I was indifferent, but in 2020 I was optimistic for once, which lasted only about 2 months. Now all those old moments don't seem so "scary new world" and the best thing I can think to do is try to reflect on enjoying now because it will be the nostalgic past of the future. Maybe that's normal or indicative of feeling things are only going to get worse, but I don't know how else to cope. I too felt this sentiment when reviewing this 2018 footage in 2023. Just try to appreciate good in the year you're living in I guess. Thank you for watching, I have a number of calm escapism videos like this for your heart's content. 🙂
I love this video. And as a person who has been to Eureka Springs countless times, this was a trip down memory lane. Just one little criticism: is there not something missing? Something associated with a waning moon?
