Its crazy that Scorcher didn’t become one of the biggest from his era. He was a top 10 grime producer, he was level with Skepta as a traditional reload mc, he was level with Wretch and Ghetts as a rapper, had street credibility, could act and the girls liked him. I went off him when he kept boasting about what he did to Cookie, sent for Frisco then backed down and released that Lipsing song. But still think he should have blown!

Those that know, know bro. Scorcher is definitely one of the best from his era and everyone that REALLY knows Grime, they KNOW the level that Scorch is on. You don’t optimally spar with Ghetts and Devlin and not be regarded as one of the greats. Only the fickle will claim otherwise 🎯

Didn't complete one full sentence in the whole interview! Constantly jumping from one thought to the next and talking in code - makes it very hard to follow what he's really trying to communicate at times. Many artists are bad communicators in speech, but great on a mic.

Bro has no idea how much people love him and really want to see him shine. I would love nothing more than to see Scorcher at the top because he brings such a unique flow and a different take on music thats refreshing, especially for grime. Love this energy though, he is just a normal guy doing his thing. Reminds me of JME in a way, just proper humble energy!

The wretch situation isn’t any of our business. Very interesting to hear Scorch’s thought process around his career. I think artists that take the career path that they enjoy generally have more longevity than the success chasers e.g. Kano vs tinie, ghetts vs n dubz, so no doubt scorcher will make bangers for a while to come

The simple answer as to why Scorcher never blew is because he kept going jail. He even had a big role for a film but they had to give that character to someone else because Scorcher went to jail.
