Leveling alpha first with dabi feels too important imo. Six shots up to eight shots is a HUGE difference, especially considering how easy they are to evade. After that I like to get gamma to 4, beta to 4, then max in that order. Dabi needs to seamlessly manage cooldowns to stand a chance against better characters. That said, still one of my faves to play
Yeah I notice cooldown managing is more important with Dabi then others especially when it comes to not using up all his alpha charges. I’ll probably stick with maxing out alpha but I’ll give the other approaches a try to
1:17 for trios I've actually started leveling beta first! The gamma is really nice for defensive options but it's also really finnicky (basically anything will hit you out of it, consume the charge, and then not put the shield down) and I've found that my teammates don't bother sticking inside of it. Once the circle starts getting smaller and people start being more careless, level nine traps are more useful to me. Leveling gamma isn't a bad option either especially since spacing it correctly is a ton of damage
Yeah I had that happen a few times today where I’d get knocked out the gamma and lose the charge 😭 I did a trap only challenge before so I knew the traps were strong but I think I’ll give leveling them up first a go again but this time using his full kit and see how I like it
YAY ONE OF MY MAINS so personally i love getting that alpha to nine more than my y to level nine having that fire wall fully leveled up definitely helps with mitigating third party damage so this was a great showcase of his skills despite him not having any mobility
Yeah getting alpha to nine seems like it’d be better for consistency that way your damage isn’t low if you were to do the reverse and get gamma to nine. And glad I was able to show off what he could do well 😄
That final match you played PERFECTLY with Dabi in final circle making full advantage of the fact there were two other Deku's. Here's my take on what to level up first, in a team setting, Dabi's gamma is a absolute must, now I know sometimes some players may lack the awareness to actually use the gamma's protection. But you can REALLY notice it save your ass when you got a potential 1v3 situation on your hands when your teammates are healing, or when it's a really tight circle against Zoners. In solos, Dabi for sure has to have his Alpha lvl 9 first, most of the time you're gonna deal with a VERY agile character (Bakugo, Ochako, All might, etc.) and the tracking can damn near nullify the fact that you're fighting against agile characters. Plus big damage go brrr lmao
Thanks! And yeah that was what I was thinking, gamma definitely seems amazing but in solos I felt like I needed the extra damage and shots since it’s just me doing Al the damage. But like you said in a team setting the defensive utility of the gamma just seems too nice, tho upgrading that first means your counting on your teammates to make up for the lower damage your outputting now
@@CharismaticDemon_ The lower damage argument is a valid concern, but I feel like most of the time (using my own experience as a Dabi enthusiast) you're typically playing with high damage dealers anyways, in randoms 3's, Just might be the Ace rank experience and playing around players relative to me, but I feel the damage aspect isn't so much an issue
W dabi video hope your having a great day and I don’t makin dabi cause I try to play as every character but i usually upgrade his alpha first then gamma and one thing I do with his gamma is when someone is down I use it and finish them so I don’t get hit and get my shields back if I lost any
Thanks! Using gamma to thrist is something that honestly never crossed my mind but is definitely safer then running to where they are and trapping them since you don’t need to get so close with the gamma. Definitely something I’ll start implementing into my Dabi gameplay
I love dabi as a trapper because if you get up jump, place a trap you can turn the tides of a battle like if its ochaco being a car dealer shes gonna die if she keeps fighting you like that. You can absolutely dominate in the cave system too. Your wall can block the exit and you can set up traps as a semi permanent blockade. Also, do you like my new profile picture? Glad the content can help 😄 And for the first side note idk 🤣 I enjoy games the most when I use all the characters they offer, so I just play everyone and gradually improve and learn what I can and can’t do with them and play around that. As for the second side note just a well timed dodge gets the job done. It’s easier when he’s further away as you have more time to react to the fireball the closer he is the harder it’ll be tho
Dabi is absolutly the most character, with denki and kirishima, i love playing with. I always level up my alfa for more shots and you have also to have an eye on how many fire ball you have because, for all dabi's moves, the time of recharge of the shots is very very long. I hope next patch will have some dabi buffs, maybe with more damage on the alphas or in traps (i love put traps everywhere😂) and reducing the time for all the abilities cooldown. This matches were amazing Demon especially in final battles so intense😂❤
I noticed that even tho he’s a technical character and should have a reload increase his alpha always takes a long time to come back all the same so that’s definitely something I always have to adjust to (managing the alpha shots and not using them all) . Where are the best places to level up? Its hard sometimes especially when a number of other players choose that same area. Then you have to relocate and find boxes elsewhere. I like the firezone, but so do many Dabis lol. I remeber on the top of the building me and another Dabi were throwing fire balls and using traps and fire walls on each other to get that one gold chest. Basically attempting to cancel each other out. I noticed my health low and tried to fled off the building thinking let him have it. He chased after me. Got me downed on the ground, and I hid in a bush but I used my special action when he approached and then he got downed himself. I got back up before him and KOed him and took his level cards. I was lucky. . However special action doesnt work if your downed and characters attack at a distance your defenseless..like Bakugo, Shoto, Endeavour or other range attack characters. Also firewall doesnt work on Momo shield I believe or Compress. I personally try to attack characters at a distance with fire ball while placing traps when they get closer. And Ilda stupid air kick is a pain to avoid.
My go to places are usually aquatic and fire zone but both are usually contested. Going collapse isn’t too bad either since there’s boxes you can get leading to central and collapse doesn’t always get many people. Also that Dabi encounter sounds crazy as hell 🤣And yeah it sucks you can’t activate the special actual while taking damage. I think firewall can stop Momo shield only during the start up since she doesn’t have invincibility.
Dabi mains actually prioritizes his gamma? I go alpha then beta(since thts his best defense against melees) but I only mained him for a month why go gamma?(quick tip dabi gamma can breaks momo shield if timed correctly)
I’ve seen a few Dabi mains upgrade gamma first to maximize his defensive wall quickly I suppose. I think something like that works best in trios since doing it that way means your dps will be low for a while so you need teammates to pick up for you. Oh and I appreciate the tip I’ll try to beat it out next time. I’m assuming a well timed firewall will do the trick
As a Dabi main, this video was awesome, you know how to play him very well, better than me lol Honestly, Dabi needs to have armour in his gamma too, I think that will help him quite a bit.
@@CharismaticDemon_ That as well. The fact that his special action only works while down is pretty dumb. Like I get it, he does something similar in the show and it fits his character with being a toxic mf, but while it works for trolling and is helpful sometimes ( I've gotten a few K'Os with it lol ) it's really lame that it ONLY works while he's down.
@@mrcuccob6386maybe another gimmick for him is that he lights himself on fire like in the anime. People take passive damage if their too close to him but Dabi also takes damage, if his health goes below 50 or maybe 25% it turns off automatically

Today i had the most intese fight between a cheater and me abusing inf boost. I found him in the previous game while using my last rental tokken (fun), so i decided to fight fire with fire and got his ass. What he was doing was go SUPER fast and almost no cooldown on his moves, but the delay between attacks was still there so no prime all might moment
I always upgrade Alpha first then go to beta to 4 then I get my gamma to 4 and go back and forth from there. I wish they would change his special action tho
Yo I learned a pretty huge tip from one of the Top Dabi Players on PlayStation, to like never use all of your alphas unless it's to finish an opponent. If you leave one Alpha leftover your other fireballs reload x2 quicker. Ex. @23:38 (I know you won't play Dabi for like another month but hey there you go lmao)
Yeah it’s one of the bad habits I have. I’ve always noticed the fireballs come back extremely quick as long as you leave one and try to manage the cooldown but sometimes (most times) I use them all 😆 I Appreciate the tip all the same! Reminders like that help make sure it’s in my mind so I can make it into a habit

Tho I did love Dnf duel as well (until they decided to not release dlc for a year 😭) and injustice 2 has a special place in my heart too. Currently really looking forward to fighterz rollback and Project L.

@@HaileyLov3sP1nK I’ve always wanted to give Persona Ultimax a try tho that’s partially because I just love the persona series 😆. I’ve seen BlazBlue tournaments and that games sick as hell! As for Marvel vs Capcom simply put I’m terrified 😭 I’ve seen tournaments for that game as well and the touch of deaths are crazy as well as the fact it doesn’t reset neutral when you take down a character like in fighterz. I feel like I would be truly fighting for my life in that one 🤣😭
I level gamma first, then alpha. Alpha's tracking is good, however the fire wall is better for defense and offense at closer range. It gives a little more of a "back off" kind of stance, the duration of it and the danger of it increases.
Yeah whenever I do get the gamma to lvl 9 it feels amazing. Fast reload, huge wall and decent duration which makes me want try and max it first sometime
@@CharismaticDemon_Definitely, and plus there really is not much of a reason to lvl alpha first if the problem is bullet count. Rationing them out is easy, though the tracking gets progressively better the higher the lvl
@@7.BeefStew.7 I usually stop at lvl3 for the beta just so I can thrist in 2 traps rather then 3 but I should probably go the extra level for the extra trap
Yeah that’s typical what I do except I get the beta to lvl 3 if it’s not already by the time I max out my alpha. Just so I can kill in 2 traps rather then 3
I tried playing Dabi today and got smoked. This is clearly not okay. As a Kirishima main, I took it personally and punched the whole lobby. All jokes aside, Dabi needs something small to help. Especially in early game.

Idk why everyones saying buff or nerf dabi hes aight but if i hade to buff him prob get another special action for a nerf just s dmg nerf tbh also i just realized all the todoroki family has booty special actions 😭
It just hit me reading this but yeah they shafted them, especially Dabi and Shoto with the special actions. Dabi’s can be useful to by time for a revive but it’s also kinda lame when he’s alive he has nothing
