I was wondering if it would be possible to show different twin battery mountings on a H.P Scorpion trike, showing how you install each bracket and different options. Thanks Iain
Very impressive what you put together! So, there is that little screen that is used to tell you about the motor. And then, if you want to effortlessly mount a bike computer to a Scorpion trike, then do Utah Trikes sell that accessory? My trike didn't come with the very nice internal wiring like this one, for lights, so I seek to mount a Wahoo Element bike computer to my Scorpion, to then sync with a rear light, so that is why I inquire about what accessory offerings you sell that could solve my problem. Thank you and what a smooth ride that you have built!
UTAH TRIKES-I wonder if you can help me? In Australia, I have recently added a 500w Bafang Mid Drive to my HPV Scorpion FS20. The power and acceleration of this motor make an 82 yo man feel like Superman again! But the derailleurs are slow and noisy so I want to replace them with an IGH. Unfortunately, I can't find one which can be integrated with the Bafang and cope with 100nm of torque? Can you please advise which hub you would recommend using? Thanks in anticipation.
Wow. You guys do awesome work. I might have to pack up my trike and drive to your shop this summer. I am assuming you could install a Rohloff Speed Hub onto a an AZUB TRIcon? The TRIcon has a Bafang 750W Mid-Drive installed up front instead of the 3 crank set in front. I'm figuring the additional 4 gears and the loss of the derailleur would be good. You'd would need to re-lace the hub into my current 20" rear wheel. Is that something you could do? Great video; thanks for posting.
@@UtahTrikesOnline Will do. How much would the Rohloff service cost including lacing the hub into a new 20" wheel and installation of shifting controls, etc? Thanks. Might be fun to ride home to Washington from Utah.
Range is a tricky thing to calculate. Lots of variables. Using the motor conservatively a rider could expect anywhere from 760-80 miles of range. Rider weight and cargo load will definitely affect that number, but we've had customers do 60-70 miles with a single battery. Using the motor very conservatively, course.
The Pinion gearbox replaces the front gearing and replaces it with a sealed gear mechanism. The higher 12 and 18 speed versions have enough gear range to completely replace a standard bicycle drivetrain, but any of the versions can be combined with rear gearing for an even wider range.
