Basel (Basilea) :
Basilea viene comunemente considerata come la capitale culturale della Svizzera. La città è rinomata per i suoi vari musei di fama mondiale, dal Kunstmuseum, prima collezione d'arte d'Europa accessibile al pubblico (1661), allo Schaulager, costruito dagli architetti basilesi Herzog & de Meuron, al Museo d'arte contemporanea di Basilea, primo museo del suo tipo d'Europa.
