@@siggibutz Ich hab vor 6 Jahre angefangen und weiß manchmal gar nicht, was ich als nächstes in einem Video spielen sollte, man kann so vieles spielen, meistens entscheidet sich das bei mir nach Lust und Laune 😉

Hi Mikhail! I had a very long thought about that topic. The conclusion is, that the speed is a result of long practice with no special tricks or techniques. First thing is of course a responsive harmonica. It is tough to play fast on a low D for example and the harmonica should be warm already. Then it's all about the embouchure, with a good embouchure you'll begin to understand that only a little bit of movement (just a few millimeters) are enough to reach out for the next hole. There are some videos here on RU-vid about playing fast and the jaw movement is a big oint there. The switching from draw to blow is done by the use of the diaphragm, which came automatically over the years in my case. You could find out if you're doing it already by just switching between blow and draw on one hole while watching your belly. So, I have no particular tip for you, maybe playing more Irish and Scottish jigs and reels could strengthen your speed 😬

I played 3 times to the metronome and then cut the video in 3 parts with each one at the exact same starting point. The video was later put together with a video grid creator app, which is now no longer available for me. Now I use a App on my smartphone called video collage.
