What Skyhook should’ve done to make this add on good value for money is bundle in another ScotRail train with the 158. Preferably, they should’ve also made the ScotRail HST and bundle it with the 158 because just like the 158, there’s already a model of the HST for both GWE and MML so they could alter one of those models and give the HST a proper ScotRail Inter7city livery so we don’t have to see the GWR HSTs on the routes!
@@jasonmoffat679 right so that's changes to the physical model which means building it from scratch so everything is in the right places, animations are correct, etc. it's still effort
I agree with your review. The fact that it cost $16.99 for what is essentially a slightly altered train that is already in game is rather ridiculous. It should have been much cheaper. Also, the Class 158 does not run on services from Edinburgh to Glasgow. They haven't done that in over 20 years. Only Class 385's run Edinburgh-Glasgow services
Well the class 170s have ran the Edinburgh Glasgow via Falkirk High for a good 14-15 years after they replaced the 158s in this service. Then the 380 ran the show from late 2017 to 2018 before the 385s came
Ridiculous price! Way too expensive for what essentially is just a reskin. If they lowered the price they would sell so many more copies. It's my favourite train, but I will wait for a sale.
Again, it wouldn't be quite so bad if TSW5 was on the cards, when we can look forward to Rivet finishing the Leven extension, which I am still looking forward to anyway, then again, I do have a vague hope that it is another Rush Hour like thing. I would like to know if in this Dovetail Direct, we hear something about the Leven extension, and if indeed TSW5 is coming, that it would be ready by then.
Makes sense. I also buy ATS and ETS2 map DLCs day one. At least there you know you're getting quality work at reasonable prices. The devs at SCS even care to go back to years old content to refresh it like new for free. They also patch their game for free and don't release the same game year over year to sucker unsuspecting customers. DTG crapware should only be bought on a deep discount if that. Although I wouldn't recommend anybody spend so much as a hard earned penny on these fools.
@@StrikeEagle78 Yeah I've bought every single DLC for ATS and ETS2 SCS deserve my money, even all of the paintjobs that I am never going to use. Yet I haven't paid for a single DLC for TSW (with one exception) , I don't see it fair that DTG decided to have both yearly releases and paid DLC so I refuse to pay for both, its one or the other and I chose the former, not gonna stop me from playing them though 🏴☠ Its not a thing of me not paying for them, its just a thing of DTG not getting my money. I have bought Blackpool Branches though since JT went above and beyond every other developer for that DLC.
They’ve just Announced the release date for the expert BR101 and it costs £29.99. I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that this is utterly ridiculous for a a cab car and one new livery for an existing loco.
Tsg wants to be paid for their efforts I suppose and wants to test the waters. It's 2 cab variants, cab car, 2 liveries and as close as realistic as possible with a full fault system, pzb/lzb data input, cold starts, fully modeled engine room, etc. it's basically like 3 trains in one since the cabs are different so changes to the 3d model.
I can't justify the price for this addon when there not massive amount of changes I won't bother till it drops in a good sale in a few months pretty much to same with all tsw addons
Very unpopular take but I actually enjoy the Edinburgh to Glasgow route add on I bought for 18.99 o discount on ps store and I think this add on should of being 5 bucks
You’re not the only one, I quite enjoy too. I think because I really like Edinburgh which is pretty well made, the station especially. Glasgow QS looks nice too. Despite it’s flaws I find the 385 fun to drive and I enjoy the rush along one of Scotlands main lines. I just wish it went to Dunblane and Alloa, or even just Stirling.
I understand your views on them inserting the GWR HST on the Edinburgh to Glasgow route, however I would have been ok if it was an Unbranded GWR HST as they did run like that in Scotland before they were all fully refurbished, I can also understand why we didn’t get a full Scotrail HST as that would have required DTG (or whoever) to rework the Mk3 coaches model to give them the automatic doors and scotrail interior, basically just like what Skyhook did to the 158, meaning it would have to be a new DLC add-on for the fife circle route.
