That's Amy Johnston, she's a legit martial artist and stunt woman. She's one of the 2 main stunt doubles for Scarlett Johanson, has doubled ScaJo in the Winter Soldier and in the live-action Ghost in the Shell movie. She also does lots of motion-capture for videogames, she worked on the latest Tomb Raider games. Go to the Corridor Crew channel and watch some of the Stuntperformers react-videos,where she's a guest and talks about how they do the stunts in various movies with the Corridor Crew guys.
Most man vs woman fights in movies are like this, I think he only went for 1 face punch throughout the entire fight. Yet its okay for her to fist crunch his testicles lol
people don't shut up even under a movie, you always have to say something about strength and everything else about men, Try to appreciate instead of always saying the same things, EVEN UNDER A FILM, I can understand sports but in movies you have to shut up.
@@danawithhismoney8099 That's crazy because it's always women who go "Yas queen , kick his weak ass.men are so weak" but when it's reversed it's an issue . Yea , you bitches need to learn equality and shut the fuck up
Aaron Flores This director clearly looked back at Injustice 2 when he/she picked the clothing fashion for Amy, because clearly wearing Black Canary's trousers and jacket here but her boot heels are too high.
Such a beautiful scene. The Internets say that Amy was learning martial arts since she was 5. And her dad is 5-times kickboxing champ. I like that there's very little camera shake, so you can actually enjoy the choreography.
You can clearly see not hatting on her i love it cute as fuck with nice butt but to slow compare to the way he moves in onthe movies undesputed been the fastes and more brutal
Yeah they both did but considering scott adkins is potentially around 190-200 pounder and she would be only around 120 pounds, her hits would have never done any much damage to Scott Adkins if it was real unless it is on the weak points like the eyes, the throat the groin etc.
It's like Michael Jai White said in one of the Universal Soldier making-of documentaries. "I have to practice control, because at 230 pounds I could take somebodies headoff". If he didn't slow down and go at her pace she would get hurt, martial arts choreography is all about pacing yourself with your opponent.
@@wolf_9626 it's a movie , it doesn't matter how much bigger he is from the pass when you saw 90lb girls beating huge guys in movies , because the script said so
somanytakennames yes obviously dude but their gets to the point where it’s just laughable the amount of damage that’s being taken and it is evident in this scene
It's called adaptation he probably held back the first two minutes with her so he can learn her style and then slowly counterattack her and increase his strength during the course of the fight
I can just imagine the level of restraint it took to hold back on her, but in her defense, she's a badass too. Women like that is what you call an Amazon In another time!!!!
It's not restraint, so much as proper fight choreography. If either of them were really throwing those punches/kicks, they could do some serious damage.
@@TeamCap623 Well the weight difference would give him the better odds adkins probably weighs arround 80kg while his opponent is probably somewhere in the 60s more mass=more momentum and that in turn equals a harder kick when the body is set in motion
@@julianeder3383 I weigh 61 kg and I fucked up dudes who weigh about 85 kg. 20 kg does not make much of a difference if the smaller fighter knows how to fight and has the heart. It's all in your mind.
@@sandisilesilvestermatroshe8980 Correct but if 2 individuals with equal levels of fighting experience clash the odds would be better for the heavier individual (speed and the momentum created from your bodyweight are the 2 factors that decide how hard a kick/punch connects with the target) that being said 60 or 80kg behind the kick wont make a difference if the kick connects with something like the liver
Amy Johnston is an incredible fighter in her own right...I first saw her in a movie called Lady Bloodfight...which is basically a female version of Vandamme's movie Bloodsport...but this movie uses weapons as well. Amy is a badass in this movie.Scott Adkins is pretty amazing...so many styles of martial arts....Check out his movie called AVENGEMENT where there are even more crazier fight scenes.
The first movie I saw of Amy was that one too. Great one by the way. Avengement in my opinion one of Scott's best movie. Great sorry and development of it. And the fights deadly.
I really liked this scene. In the choreography, there were a lot of variations in techniques (high and low kicks). I like scenes shot in one shot just because it shows more realism, and also the use of medium full shot and full shot in order to show all movements with sharpness, although at 0:19 they should have used close up for facial expression. Slow motion was used intelligently and without excesses. All of this should serve for similar productions, even those of Marvel.
It's why the Bourne movies are great, and I also think Tom Cruise (or his martial arts advisors) have learned this lesson well. The fight scenes in the Mission Impossible movies seem to get better with every installment. I don't know if "realistic" is the right word for it, but the hand-to-hand combat scene in the restroom in MI: Fallout is stunningly visceral and intense.
I think this is a mess. Adkins kick to her knee at the begining should have stopped the fight then. Hard to fight with a broken leg. I guess I just don't buy a woman 5'4" weighting 115 lbs standing toe to toe with with a guy the is 7 inches taller and 50 lbs heavier.
