This interview surprised me with how positive and grateful Scott was. I don't know why but I expected him to have some of Nash's disdain and mild contempt for the business and audience, but no, Scott Hall was genuinely just cool and liked pro wrestling. He was great, RIP.

What is so different with Scott vs other wrestlers that tell stories, is that Scott hardly ever takes credit for something. He always gives props to whom he learned it from, who taught him, or how he took something and made it his own while still giving credit. It’s so refreshing to hear someone who was in the industry and yet was so humble to put over everyone that helped him get what he had. So sad we lost him and all the stories he hadn’t yet told. RIP.
@ShadowAngel-lt8nw
@ShadowAngel-lt8nw Месяц назад
He wrongfully takes credit for coming up with the Crow Gimmick for Sting, when it was actually Andre Freitas (from AFX Digital, who created pretty much all outfits, entrances (like Glacier), produced some of the videos and came up with quite a few gimmicks) who presented the idea to begin with and then designed the outfit

Scott was so cool because coming out with hogan, nash, bischoff, macho in the nitro days, he arguably could have been the top guy but instead chose to surf walk out and make himself "smaller." When he didn't have to. It's almost like as if Austin in 96/97, instead of chasing world title, decided to join dx or something. It's like shawn would've been the guy that the company wanted, but everyone would've secretly been watching austin in the background. I know it's not exactly that situation but it kind of is. Hall was like Brad Pitt in ocean's 11. Like, the movie clearly has george Clooney as the main character, but everyone's secretly looking at someone else more

1:21:30 Scott putting Bret over here is interesting because 7 or 8 years later when Scott filmed the YouShoot with Sean Oliver, Scott basically buried Bret, starting off by saying "I'm not a big Bret Hart fan..." I wonder what happened between this interview in 2007 and the YouShoot years later that made Scott change his tune on Bret. Bret must have been on record burying Scott and the whole Kliq at some point between that time.

It is so sad he did not take better care of himself. Can you imagine how big of a Podcast Hall would have had. He can just tell stories. Life takes no prisoners. I told story he worked out at same gym I did. I was like 17 years old, and this was a gritty gym of monsters. I was a monster in the making. Scott would come in and be honest he was quite, I never new he was a story teller like this. He talked to me as a young man and just another guy at the gym. I was pretty strong for a 17 year old with like 295 or 315 pounds on the bench. It was still near my max and he spotted me when I asked him He was like no problem and racked it for me. I knew about his incident with the shooting and my brother who was a badass at the time told me he thought he never got over it. Side note, my brother could be a jerk and only 215 lbs, but had huge 20” arms and known as a fighter. There are just nasty people who people are scared of and he was one of them. No doubt Scott knew who he was and never wanted beef with him and that might have been why he was so cool with me. Boy Orlando back in the day with Rosie O Gardy’s saloon in downtown Orlando had epic bar fights and my brother was known as a bull. Someone have to write a book about those days. It was crazy times.
