Here I demonstrate a few scales from Fabrice Mogini's new book "Alternative, Exotic, World, Synthetic Music Scales with Matching Chords For Guitar and Instruments". This book is an excellent new text for applying exotic scales to your playing in a useful and logical manner over harmonies we are all familiar with. It covers how to use forty eight scales over standard chords and tunes so it is practical as well as interesting from a more theoretical point of view. My examples are the Mela Latangi and Mela Dhatuvardhani scales from the book.
The book has complete fretboard diagrams for Guitar for each scale, standard notation for any instrument, how the scales are applied over/against the standard type chords such as seventh chords, altered chords, augmented and diminished chords, etc. Not a mathematical list of hundreds of thousands of scales but a useful application of fourth eight scales the working/creative musician can really use.

I am glad you found them useful and I appreciate the kind words. The series I am doing is based on decades of work on the chords and I think its probably a protracted piece of work. They will all be short 8 to 15 min videos so I'm still working on the videos. I'm thinking this will be in at least two parts.

Ionian b2 is how I learned that scale Ion b2 Dor b1 Phry bb7 Lyd b6 (harmonic lydian) Mix b5 Aeol b4 Loc bb3 Harmonic Lydian is pretty cool. Most people don't know about that scale. That leads to Double Harmonic Lydian 1 b2 3 #4 5 b6 7 I've only seen as Composite II Guitar Grimoure Really intersting scale rarely used.

@@user-pm2xj9st6f Excellent contribution! There are a good bit of exotic and synthetic scales in here (about 48-50) and their potential use in tunes as examples so it looks at 50 or so on a bit of a deeper level in terms of application. I do a couple a week or so in addition to the other things I work on. I like the application side of it. Give it a try as if you like this sort of thing I could guess it is a good bet.

HI Jay, thank you for tuning in and looking at this material and for the interest in the other things. I would say it might be a good companion as the book has examples from "standard" tunes so yes perhaps it would be a good companion to Fabrice's book. Have a look and see if it interests you.
