Every citizen has the right to a fair and speedy trial - and putting emotions above one's legal rights only appears to be an issue when a person is in a position to need protection under those rights.
Cause the impact of the killing has nothing to do with his sentence. He is going to jail because he killed someone, not because the family of that woman is going to be broken forever. And yes, they have to spend time with this because it can lower the time in jail or not, so, its very important. Try not to comment if you know nothing about the legal system anywhere

The amount of money that goes into trials like this has got to be astronomical. Seems like a big waste of resources to me. In my opinion this is a very skilled psychologist who could spend his time on more meaningful things. Nelson wants the death penalty, probably to have his own cell and buy his time, but so be it!
