What an absolute treat to see Mr Walton ride and display his lovely Scott Squirrel twenty six years ago. I could see he was chuffed at being there and having an old bike he knew and loved so well. I especially enjoyed watching him go around the track. The filming was beautiful. Even though it was a bit blurry sometimes, and pre-digital; you couldn't hide the fact that filmer and filmee were in a magic place and time. Thanks very very much. p.s. I have read and seen pictures and films of Scotts, but I have never seen one in the flesh. Someday, I will go on a quest... I will think of Harry Walton
Thank you so much for your kind comment. Dad loved his Scott Motorcycle & I am glad that it came across in the video footage .It was certainly a magical time for Dad after renovating the Scott & have it running in the parade at Mallory. Sadly Dad passed away at the age of ninety four - five years ago. Dad’s love for anything mechanical & engineering was apparent from a young age. He once told us that as a young boy he would stand outside the rear of the cinema just to hear the sounds of the generators buzzing away. If you care to take a look at ‘Tich loco steam test’ on my Utube site ‘mrcatchems’ you will see him steaming up his Tich loco that he made from bits and pieces of scrap. Many thanks again for your kind comment it was much appreciated & bought back so many fond memories. Peter
