I read Milton doesn't want to take snaps at WR or TE, he just wants to play QB. It's like, you're a 6th round developmental/project at QB. You better be prepared to take snaps at those positions if you want to continue your NFL career. Edelman did it, Meyers did it. It's not a slap in the face to change positions so you can extend your career.
The moment he said that, he should have been cut. Bad (entitled) attitude, bad body language, bad fundamentals.... BAD Draft Pick. Total wasted asset. If he doesn't want to try TE, get him the fuck outta here. He can get a job at foot locker or some shit.
Milton is a QB. He needs development at that position. Pats wasted a pick on him rather than getting another late round wide receiver to help Maye out. A better situation for Milton would've been a team like the Vikings with better coaching and WR talent.
Edelman did it because he was a mediocre QB who played at Kent State. And because he’s 5’10. Joe Milton is 6’5 and was an elite passing QB at one of the best schools, in the best conferences in the country. The fact you just compared Edelmans situation to Joe Milton is hilarious. If you think those guys are even remotely close to being the same talent you know absolutely nothing about football.
If you watched Milton at Tenn. you know he's limited but not hopeless, Van Pelt will need to see immediate progress or he'll be looking for a job in the CFL.
Milton is going to be on the practice squad. He's a sixth round pick who isn't in contention to be the starter that most likely will be off the team or competing as a camp body in 2025, at best QB3. Maye is actually going to be the starter. Sure Maye's footwork is "cleaner" than Milton but that's both not saying much and he has different expectations due to being expected to play and his footwork needs to be perfected in order to get the timing and rhythm down in a simulated game setting. Practice and OTA's are for players to convert that summer relaxation mode into a "you better get your ass on the field" mode. Plus it's more beneficial to start Maye due to him being both younger than Milton and having more room to grow and better processing so far in camp.
When are they gonna Fuckin cut Bailey Zappe? I’m so over hearing that guys name. He’s not a good QB. He’s never gonna lead this team to a SB so what’s the point of keeping him around? Joe Milton has way more talent than every QB on their roster. The only thing Brissett has over him is experience.
Julian Edelman was a mediocre quarterback too. Look at Milton's size. Is it possible they move him somewhere else? Like tight end? They could use one of those.
wasted pick when they could have taken michael pratt (much better) taken by green bay in the 7th rd=steal but mayo and kraft chose to ne diverse and stupid.zo knows as he was a pro quarterback!i mean why waste ANY picks.you go for the best possible player in need of specific positions.case closed but new england doesn't do that ANY draft.sick of it!
@@ayylmao1193 He's got to really show out for that to be the case. I have a feeling that Zappe is going to be the backup with his work ethic in training camp. They will probably demote Milton to the practice squad. Maye is QB2, Brissett is in the pole position.
@@jbirdapparel Agreed, but Zolak is pretty disingenuous since he changes his opinions like the weather. It's training camp, Zolak is trying to forecast 10 whole fucking years of one day in training camp for Milton. Just the other day he called Maye a "baby deer legged" bust for day 1 in OTA and Milton looks like Tom Brady 2.0. Milton and Maye are projects that both likely need a year to sit behind a vet, give em time to develop. We won't know if Milton is on the roster or not because that's the coaches decision.
AND ZO-Slack has really started games, so he can just talk , being a back-up pine warmer.. He didn’t make it in Miami , and came to New England to sorta play a few games like a high school jock. Zo-slack is mediocre ( that’s more than deserved) and I feel I bitter, due to buzz he never got or will get. By the way yes, he is a rookie; but he’s learning so what you fault for is his college ways, there really isn’t enough to grade him on till he is under center.
@@ayylmao1193 It could be Milton, if Milton is just flat out terrible throughout the rest of the OTA's. Zappe with his work ethic is making it harder on Milton in training camp, but the downside to Zappe is that we know he can't blossom into a franchise QB or even a middle of the road backup, if he was he wouldn't have had 6 passing TD's to 9 Ints last year when he was given 6 chances to prove himself when he started 6 games. Stats alone make Zappe very replaceable. Whereas Milton might have the advantage making it on the roster due to not having stats on the stat sheet.
