A very important part of this project is that they did not destroy the stone wall or build up behind it. Rather, the house has been adapted to maintain the roof line and the wonderful garden behind the house. This house is very much about living in that wonderful setting. Would like to see the dining area. If this were LA, some rich person would put up a hideous glass structure, with a huge parking garage, a wasteful pool and a home theatre!

Why are the kids bedrooms into the separated building? They're little, what if they get hurt or sick in the middle of the night? Also, the kitchen or common areas (living room, media room) could fit better there.

In my very average city, this single house are sold as a dozen of "luxury apartments" at 500k GBP / 670k USD each. Maybe 2 dozens next year.

The word "Cute" is insulting. This home and conversion is brilliantly sophisticated from a truly gifted eye and skill of an architect that ought to be professionally recognized with awards and accolades. Please do not reduce this masterful piece of architecture to "cute" which is so disrespectful and off-handed.

the concept addition is tremendously ugly. Lazy Architecture. Is this why they don't actually show it? Restoration on the bothy is great!

too big to keep tidy... sorry folks. lots of space that is absolutely not used. for example, the kitchen. how big is it? 50 sqm? Is this a family of 10 kids with 2 maids? Certainly not my style of architecture with too much extravaganza.
