Film from our family holiday up in the Cairngorms summer 2020.
We stayed in a stunning lodge in Boat of Garten which we booked through greatnorthlodg... and were lucky that we had booked before the pandemic hit. Thankfully, restrictions were lifted in time for our holiday and allowed us to spend some quality family time together.
We've featured in the video our walks around some of the beautiful caledonian pine forests which dominate the landscapes in the Cairngorms and which take our breath away every time we visit.
Hidden in the forests are our favourite Red Squirrels and we had the pleasure of watching them for a morning at Neil MacIntyre's hide at Rothiemurcus.

Thrill seeking, Kate booked canyoning with G2 Outdoor Activities - nerve-racking but totally worth it, on a roasting hot day was great fun jumping in the pools and slip sliding down the rocks.

We said goodbye to the family and pushed further up north where the two of us spent some time exploring the North East and soaking in the amazing seascapes. We spent a morning watching the mesmerising Gannets at Troup Head.
