Watched Braveheart a few nights ago.... this is such a treat to see... just makes me want to run across a field.

I love mine, and have even slayed several plastic containers. I actually find it easier to cut with by choking up the left hand closer to the right.

@ryanricks
@ryanricks 2 года назад
@@scottmccabe7586 no. you can feel it flex a bit if moving around laterally to different guards. but it doesn't flex in the plane of the edge.

Try this tip for using big swords: (assuming RH otherwise switch) Put your right hand 1" from the cross and your left hand close to the pommel, or even with the pommel in the palm of your left hand using your first two fingers to hold on to the pommel and letting the wheel freely pivot in the palm of your pommel hand. Then as you cut a descending diagonal cut, PULL with the pommel hand and PUSH the sword forward with hand closest to the cross. This PUSH/PULL enables maximum leverage. Combine this with good footwork and you are golden.

I pulled the trigger on buying this sword. There’s still no reviews on it, but with Arms and Armor reputation, I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.

@@frankknox9127 Hi Frank, we are working hard to catch up on back orders. As we mention on our website, production times are about one year right now, which is actually pretty short at the moment compared to comparable makers.

Beautifully made sword, was the original hallow ground? Would you all at A&A ever do a production version of the Lindsay family sword?
@armsarmorinc.4153
@armsarmorinc.4153 3 года назад
No , the original was mainly lenticular in cross section. On the Lindsey Sword that is Albions work so not we would not, they make a fine replica of the piece.

Beautiful weapon! I found out about your site when i looked up "real claymore sword" and the reason I looked that up was because I was playing Dark Souls lol. I was browsing your site as well as your channel and I got to say I am loving the craftsmanship on your weapons. Have you guys ever considered making a video on how your weapons are forged? I've seen a few channels that already do that and I think you guys would definitely pull in more viewers.

I'm really tempted to order one from you guys! All of your work looks superb quality! What's the current lead time for one? What alterations can be made? I would ideally want a few changes to the style of blade and some engraved words on the base of the blade. Also would I need to pay in full or is there a payment plan available?

the great sword was convergently invented by both the scots and the germans.
@Stephen_Curtin
@Stephen_Curtin 3 года назад
Well the Scots imported most of their blades from the Germans, so I wouldn't really say that they invented the greatsword independent of German influence.
@Deeznutz002

@@Stephen_Curtin Most all blades made of the time where imported from German or Italian Blade Guild's. I wouldn't say Great swords where independently German.
@Stephen_Curtin
@Stephen_Curtin 3 года назад
@@Deeznutz002 I wouldn't either. The point I was trying to make is that great swords were not "convergently invented by both the Scots and the Germans". How could they have been when the Scots were importing their blades, mostly from Germany.
