The Supreme Court is adopting its first code of ethics after the controversy over Clarence Thomas' undisclosed trips and gifts from wealthy benefactors. Justice Correspondent Elie Mystal will be here to break it all down.
A century after more than 100 Black soldiers were court-martialed following a racially motivated riot in Houston amid World War I, the Army acknowledges that the troops were the victims of a legal system that was stacked against them. Nineteen of them were executed. We'll show you what happened at today's ceremony and talk to"The 24th" director Kevin Willmott, who brought the story to the big screen.
I'll share my thoughts on Texas A&M firing head football coach Jimbo Fisher.
Louisiana must redraw its congressional maps by January.
Republican Senator Tim Scott drops out of the presidential race.

The Hollywood thing they have done with the Tulsa Oklahoma Massacre was the series "Watchmen". That series woke up a lot of people who had no idea that that domestic terrorism happened in this country. And Roland...Black movies can be both historical facts and super hero/fantasy fiction. Black people not only have history, but we also have fantasy, science fiction, fables, etc. All those Black genres can be made into movies and/or series. The problem is that Hollywood does NOT want to fund them, nor do they want anyone to see them....which makes it harder for Black directors/story writers to make these movies. But it does NOT stop Black directors and story writers from telling and making their stories to be seen.

Watchmen opened up with highlighting Tulsa but wasn't solely based around it. I havent seen all of it (which your post reminded me to get back to it) but it is pretty good. For black history type movies I prefer war movies like Red Tails, Buffalo Solders, Tuskegee Airmen, etc. Or reading books about real history like the Harlem Hellfighters. Once hollywood gets a hold of anything it no longer is history because the narrative gets changed for better profits. There are tons of movies and series/documentaries out there. Most people use race as a tool and the masses follow blindly without ever picking up a book or watching a movie. Its much easier to hold someones hand with a blindfold on then it is to take it off and see for yourself. Thats just my opinion.

I didn't know about the movie, but I was preparing a collage for Black History Month, last month and that's how I found out about it. I was crestfallen having finding out about the injustice towards the Buffalo Soldiers.

This is the first I heard of the 1917 protest of 110 black soldiers and the injustice that they endured. Wow this is very sad that the army treated them in this manner after their service but glad after a century benefits denied to them are being given them and wrongs acknowledged. Persistency matters!

That's why laws are created. The past reveals faults and/or positives so changes can be made in society. Judges decisions should be made solely on facts and the law. As well be made with an unbiased mindset. But that doesnt hardly happen anymore.

I know it has some issues, but I love the movie 'Hidden Figures' ...the bond and back-and-forths of the three leading ladies is like settling into a big bowl of comfort food. I respect the constitution. It the glue that helps to keep this country together. However, because of one person, 45, it is falling apart. Never mind his enablers. This is very scary.
