Your shooting of an scout rifle across clear-cuts was one of the best pieces of video on YT on a rifle and especially scout rifle. Glad to see you're getting more spotlight on the subject. Your probably well aware you could do an whole bunch of content of use and riflecraft. That content is sorely absent and neglected on YT content creators.
My M1A Socom 16 wears a Leupold 4x pistol scope. I've been told that's an odd miss-matched combo, but it works for me. Today my first actual scout scope will arrive for my Tavor 7... a Vortex Crossfire-II. It will replace a Vortex PST-II which is much more expensive. A pound lighter, and a much more forgiving eyebox sounds like a win win. Anyone want a PST-II??
Greetings! I'm from Ukraine. I own a Steyr Mannlicher Scout .308 Win rifle and have a BURRIS SCOUT 2-7X32MM scope with a BALLISTIC PLEX reticle. Very pleased with this scope. And in my humble opinion, this is the best scope from the Scout series.
@@OnTheScout If you do not mind, I will leave your question without comment. I hope you understand why! P.S. I like your work and I've been following it for a long time)!
I was about to say my leupold fx-II scout 2.5x28 was missing from the list. But later saw on leupold website its discontinued. So, yeah... what you have is what we can get our hands on at least for new market.
Before I left Crimson Trace I made sure to get you a scope sent out. Looking forward to seeing how it performs. It's tough to get solid opinions on pistol/scout scopes.
Hello I just ran across your channel looking at scout scopes. Need to purchase one for a rifle soon . Hoping the rest of videos come out soon ? I've been a hunter since my teens , I'm now 51 years old . I hunt mostly thick ,wooded areas.
I like that rear sling mount! With the mindset of being a general use rifle, have you considered mounting a weapon light? It seems that that Leupold Freedom is more of an IER scope than a scout scope, I'm curious to see how you'll mount it. I'm a big lever gun guy, but I need to get one of these. I've read the rear sight and the Ruger scope rings hold zero (or very close), my idea is to zero the irons for M80 and zero a traditional Leupold 4x33 with hunting ammo.
