What’s your opinion on Eric Rowe? I don’t know if he signed elsewhere but if not do you see them bringing him back? Do we even need him now? I thought he played great for us
Probably the same exact situation as Robert Golden. Older player on the decline who had a single great season for us in a backup/reserve role. Maybe they're asking for too much money and keeping their options open but if somebody goes down in camp on any team across the league they could quickly be called up and their value goes up as a 1 year rental.

Matt, the saying "Jack of all trades, master of none" has been mistold for eons. The FULL saying is "Jsck of all trades, master of none. But still better than master of one" That 2nd part changes the meaning and reason behind why most use it. Many think it says, If you focus on too much and do too much, you will never be the best at one thing, however the full saying actually says those who branch out and try new things and can do multiple things is better than someone who masters just one thing. I would like to always have one edge guy who’s built closer to a 4-3 defensive end than a 3-4 outside linebacker, for physicality and run-stopping purposes.. which golden fits and did well last year. Not saying the other guys don’t do that, but one guy of the former stature is good to have IMO.
Sadly, we are still judging our offensive players based on last years OC and QB play. Heyward is an absolute weapon. I was disappointed they gave him 83. Should have been a 40 number, to utilize all his talents. Should have used him like Chris Cooly, while letting him run the ball sometimes.
I would love to see a sub package with Benton or Cam on the nose, with Highsmith and Watt on the line wide, with all four off ball backers. Even as a version of Dick LeBeaus 1 down lineman sets. The defense has as much versatility potential as the offense. But will that potential be realized? ❤️🔥🍻
He already said. New special teams rules make players who can cover kickoffs more valuable. Perales I could agree with but if you already have Nick Herbig and Robert Golden isnt a ST guy theres no reason to get him unless you have a significant injury at OLB.
@@Dang026Yes, I figured we would probably carry 1-2 fewer WR/DB types and 1-2 more LB/TE due to the rules change. But that’s my point, why are we talking about carrying 3 OLB and flexing in an ILB. Heck, you could carry 5 ILB and 4 OLB if they contributed on ST.
Evaluating?? C'mon you have to factor in availability when questioning the acquisition of certain highly sought after positions. None more sought after than the QB. Everyone knows Mahomes is the guy right now , go get him. Jesus folks when you're picking no closer than 20 to the top spot most years those guys are gone . So are top CB's , edge guys on and on. IMO they've found a lot of great talent annually based on where the pick year in, year out. You want them to spend a hundred mil on Cousins ??? And miss me with the Mason talk over 90 percent of Steeler nation wanted nothing to do with him until the way he finished last season , the proof is out there, I read it daily lmao people kill me with this.
