On Saturday, June 2, 2020, Pete and I took a ride through West Virginia in an attempt to scout out some potential new routes for the Wild and Wonderful Weekend events. We also found a new breakfast spot but mainly we just went on a really fun ride and to get homemade pie.

Great Video it's been a long time (college days) since I've been in WV Seneca Rocks has a trail up the backside to the very top with a great view and the visitors center far below. Franklin county has a really high number of caves which my friend and I explored Hamilton and New Trout caves near Franklin camping in the entrance of New Trout. All this done from his motorcycle, the two of us riding double and camping gear too. WV has alot of great places to see and for planning outings Appreciate the video!

Luv to see riding in my area, I have been on most of those roads so it was good to regonise places. I am always looking for new places and the roads in WV are amazing, I doing it on a Harley RG so try to avoid gravel roads where possible lol Think I will get out that way this week that pie looked delicious :)

Great video and roads, my wife and I owned some land in Romney years ago when our kids were growing. Stinks about your buddy and your a true friend.....hop on brother. Video makes me think about those limited parts it make sense to carry on my bike. Look forward in having you in our live feed Sunday and seeing more of your videos. Ride safe and often.

Didn't realize tou were from Winchester. That was my last stop going cross country last year before heading back up to N E PA. The Shenandoah valley was some nice riding. I hope to head back down that way to visit the smokey mountains to ride the smokey mountains and the dragons tail again.

I'm about 8-10 miles north of Winchester in WV but damn close. Smokey Mountains are great to ride!

Any ride is a good ride. Better rides are with a good friend, with good weather and twisty roads. only curves we have where i live are the on and off ramps to the expressways. I need to travel a long way for cool roads. You live in a great motorcycling area

Some good stuff there, no shortage of twisty roads! Next Thurs. (30th) I'm heading to PA, thinking of going up through Winchester on the way just to be different, take 11 to Carlisle and on up two-lanes from there. Following week planning to head to New River Gorge on Monday, then over to Danville Tues. for the two-day CA Superbike School at VIR (finally!) and from there into NC, meet up with Stoney and ride around. One of these days I'll get to Gateway for some of that pie!

Absolutely! Wanted to do it at Barber back in May but travel restrictions made it impractical, at least VIR is closer to home, nice track too from what I hear. This will be my first track experience, and I'm really looking forward to the S1000RR as well, only thing like that I've ridden was the V4S I had that demo ride on, that bike was amazing!

I recognized most of those roads. I live in northern VA and grew up in Wv. I ride through there all the time to visit family. If you ever what to adventure some twisties in loudoun/fauquier co. Let me know

Another cool video for us to ride along in your neck of the woods. Glad you figured out the gremlin in a generally, very dependable bike. Instant queezie feeling when one over-cooks a corner, particularly into the oncoming lane, (and hitting the brakes can sometimes make it worse). This time you were behind a couple hogs, (if I heard right), that enjoyed riding briskly. Homemade pie & a waterfall are worth a ride any day!

Yeah, fun time out riding. That corner snuck up on me. Yeah, we got behind of couple of HDs and while not riding our pace they were riding really well. We kidded on the podcast that posted today we only put that ride together to go get pie 😂

@@2WR Nothing wrong with that! As with most areas, we have Julian, 1/2 way between Borrego Springs, (w/ it's famous S22 road that bike mags, etc. use), and San Diego, where they have excellent pie, and great roads to ride to get there, (& a 7 story former mine). Another called Cheery Valley, with cheery everything, and Y-pick apple orchards.

2 Wheeled Rider Very cool! I still have my original set on mine. They do pretty good on the road imo. Thanks for posting this vid! I’m thinking of going to WV later this year, your map will be helpful for routes. Any advice for roads to take or places to see?

Pete Moravek ¨Hi Pete, just let me know once you plan to be in CZ and be sure I will show you some very good pipes :-) Few weeks ago we did the moto trip around the Czech Republic and we were sleeping only in hotels with their own brewery. It was epic!
