God Natalie's talk about pain is so accurate though. As someone who suffers from chronic pain from spine issues, it really does feel like that. People change when exposed to pain, and it can destroy you if you don't have ways to manage it or just let down your guard and breathe, or scream, for a little while. I know that wasn't the point of the video, but I had to comment on it because damn, that was powerfully on point.
I also suffer from chronic pain and I had the same reaction, I paused the video a moment and was like damn.. Didn't think I'd be hit like this watching a video on scps lol
So is anybody else going to comment about how absolutely badass Michelle Wilkes was? I was furiously taking notes about how this is the among the best examples of leadership I've ever seen...
You often see a detachment with those at the top of the foundation (ethics committee excluded) but she saw the whole scope of the foundation, understanding that personal will have to die to protect the world but at the same time understanding the value of every life given
She threw her rivals into jail and declared herself a dictator style ruler while throwing out a bunch of faux populism about how she was totally one of the little people she gave herself unchecked power over and controlled from a safe cushy office as they took the risks resulting from her unilateral unchecked decisions.
That's the neat part about the scp 001. On one hand you have the O5 council as some kind of hive mind, with more power than the administrator. On the other hand you have the oroboros cycle where the administrator is some kind of dimensional being with the O5 council totally replaceable.
I’m not dimensional I’m an SCP myself who suffers from having a soul merged with that of a WW2 German BB the Tirpitz. This has had the odd effect of making me pretty much functionally immortal. According to foundation doctors I’ll be almost completely metal in the next century
Imagine it would be true for me. Earth would be forsaken as I suffer from Autism and therefore am unable to be a leader of anything and would just end in a containment breach of a keter an´d a K-Class szenario.
Just make sure Dr. Bright doesn’t see you, he may assume 173 is cheating on him. You’re clearly the council member that began to reject Dr. Brights requests. For that I thank you. Knowing Brights & The Peanuts ‘home video’ have been banned is the single thing that gives me hope.
It's pretty freaky that they've been clandestinely testing & preparing the people who watch a lot of videos & read the wiki...But it also raises a question: How many of us are there & how is only one getting chosen?
I mean if this was real (*hint its not*) i would have a high chance because in the letter she sent me is said “to *shepherd* this job” and i go by shep or shepherd…secret message?
Every administrator breaks in someway, because they are only humans, who are tasked with the inhuman responsibility and obligation to protect our world from ever eldritch horror that would seen it torn asunder. Every breach, every death, every disaster, every mistake, every failure weighs heavy on the administrators shoulders, it’s too much for anyone to endure. The O5 council isn’t wrong they are needed, and they always will be.
The question is, if the 05s have this much power and knowledge of scps, are they really allies? Based on the events played out in the document, it seems that they maybe are members of an alien race. If they decide, it would not Suprise me that they could easily invade earth. They know how everything is contained, and so it would be very easy to... Uncontain them. It's possible they are allies, look at what you said, they make it easier to exist, but it is not certain. They want full control, not unity.
Perhaps, but it's clear they need us, or at least want us, as well. Otherwise, why create or work with the SCP Foundation anyway? Even if their words are literal, that they create those in the Foundation, they still want or need them. They lie to themselves and to the Foundation. They may or may not be enemies, but they are certainly not friends, nor are they moral beings. I wonder if, based upon this presentation, they even exist as we imagine. Perhaps they are the despair and nightmares of past administrators given form, or perhaps they are a force trying to push present administrators to be great. Whatever they are, if they exist, they need us.
You have an entire administration backing you, who are willing to help shoulder the burden. You do not need some shady group who receives no responsibility or consequences make your decisions. Especially considering they are nearly immortal and will never receive reprimand or punishment if they are wrong in their decision
Not all of them. One of them was just a God who played a big game of chess with a bunch of the otehr leaders of other groups of interest I sadly have forgotten wich SCP that is
The O5 Council will ALWAYS be a mystery to me. If I were to take the role of administrator at the SCP Foundation, I would think. "What would Abraham Lincon do?"
Uhm honest abe wasnt so honest just sayin look up his n his alleged BF at the time dude is a lying machine the honedt thing bout abe was the fact he brought back change that was more he was supposed to actually get bak i mean no offense but u might as well say what would donald trump would do?
12:48. Lady, you delivered the best speech i've ever heard on my entire life; with words like those i'd trust you with my life to the end of the cosmos; it takes a real strong leader to bite like that, absolute respect
Man if only the administrators responded to to threats as elegantly and tactfully as I, for I would certainly respond with " don't you threaten me, you skank"
@@Xxsnipedawg72xX the fact you said the Ethics committee the only group in the entire Foundation that is the least likely to have ever made you do this... guess that's the joke, just find it amusing.
"We are the O-5 Council. Your emotions and logic are irrelevant to the cold logic of the O-5 Council. We are your judges. We are your jury. We are your executioners. We are the O-5 Council. You are being judged now. You have been found. Wanting."
@@jeremychicken3339 An interdimensional being. Have you not read the Ouroboros Cycle? Now get me a new human flesh organism if you are so insistent on getting rid of my present host!
Michelle Wilkes had a pretty great quote about pain in there. About how if you let it, it will occupy the empty spaces and slowly break you down. Something I'm going to bring up to my counselor and see what she thinks about it. It struck me pretty hard, in that it made sense.
The moment I heard that I was chosen to be the next administrator, I was like "No No No No No No No No No. I'm just a lazy gamer that never touched grass in his life."
Right? The second I saw that, I actually audibly said, "Nah. No thanks bro. I can saw with confidence that you got the wrong guy." I dunno when they stuck that chip in there, but they can do me, and the rest of the world, a solid and take it back out. ha ha.
I'm under the impression the Council is a hivemind that intgrates former Administrators each and every time they falter as leaders, taking their best qualities to form the perfect oversight for the Foundation and to keep all Administrators in check. The issue is that everyone is human, so the cycle will go on forever. And perhaps it has gone on for millenia with how unendingly knowledgeable the Council is.
The 05s are officially still existing. They don't really have access to the files, but if someone ever had 05 credentials, then they'd be unable to discover the truth
but its the letter O, not the number zero, no one says the zero five council. so something being zero 6 would be only for them and the Administrator, or maybe even only the Administrator
Ellingbrooke's letter about Pain at 8:10, and how it has to go somewhere, how it may be contained but can destroy you if not dealt with, really hit different and resonated with me.
Many tales: Administrator is some shadowy hidden entity above even the council. This tale: Administrator is frail human being thrown out the moment they make a mistake after several years of loyal and efficient leadership.
@@edizicu9853 Basically, it's just another origin type story of someone's interpretation of the Foundation's earlier days, and dismisses the idea that the Administrator has all the power they claim to have.
I have to point out something. Is the voice acting of Wilkes done by the same person as the narrator (i.e. hitherehunter)? Because that pitch transition from the low manly voice of the narrator to the alto voice of Wilkes without sounding like a caricature (not trying to mimic female high-pitch vocal range) is so well-done I barely noticed the transition!!
It's a slight tone shift, he usually hovers around a relatively tightly low range and just moved up a bit. I don't hear what you find so special about that, not to say that he isn't a great voice actor because I do very much enjoy his work
People: who are the O5 Council? The O5 Council: (REDACTED) [DATA EXPUNGED] [EXPLETIVE REMOVED] ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ and that's who we are! I hope your questions are answered!
"youre choosen to be the administrator and we will go to the black if you promise us the dawn" me thats an CHAOS INSURGENCY engineer: congratulations, you played yourself
I am extremely fond of the 05-Council idea. Part of me believes they are Anomalies themselves. They have seen many administrators come and go and yet they themselves have always remained the same. The same 4 people? Do these people not age? Are they even people? Damn I want a tv series for SCP so badly.
I have learned about much classified information regarding the scp foundation including more xks than scp 2000 could ever "reset" so I'm asking myself, how many different scp universes did you cover?
It’s time for a small theory of my own if you don’t mind. I think that the O-5 are the past administrators. Maybe their spirits fused or met spiritually. I mean the place is full of strange things. It wouldn’t be out of the question if there’s something holding them all together
Well the director is really just the janitor's assistant anyways. Also yeah it does, but it makes sense, the highest human authority is going to come into the conflict with the inhuman benefactors.
One of the 001 proposals is O5-1 wiping out most of the council cause they have become so anomalous, they can't be trusted to recognize what is normal. Ironically, it caused the new members become paranoid about O5-13 (the one who survived). Thinking he is some hyper reality warping god, when in fact he is just a random normal dude the old council hired off the street to look at all the weird stuff and tell them if it is normal or not.
One thing that might be missing from this, depending on when the section was added to this iteration of SCP-001, due to the non-canon nature of the SCP Foundation, is the O5 Council's response to Wilkes's notice to the Foundation declaring that the influence of the O5 Council was no longer valid. After Administrator Wilkes suspended the O5 Council, the O5 Council sent her a message of approval of her actions to suspend them with the message "YOU ARE READY". It reads more as the O5, whatever the hell they are, as finally approving of the Foundation being able to run itself rather than an ominous entity spiteful at being pushed into the background.
If I was becoming the next administrator, here's a note for the 05 Council, "If we're the next administrator, let us make our own choices and ask you if we need your help. Remember, we're all humans. Some of us may be human, but WE are stronger than you. So, let us tell you what you told the past administrators: Become We or become They!"
Im O5-1 and I AM the administrator. Turns out we dont really think of ourselves as above the foundation because we actually work every single day to keep you all safe. O5 council is not just the most powerful, but also the most busy. HECK IM WORKING WHILE TAKING A SHIT. im taking a shit right now scouting internet BUT CMON ITS WORK TOO. Aight gotta go, O5-3 is here with some more work... gotta go and carefully analyze the new call of duty thats coming out, to make sure it doesnt have any anomalies... ill surely get some Monster energy and chips while I play... *cough*... analyze the game with the fellow council members in this gamemode called "Search and destroy"? Honestly... we're gonna play... *ugahhdhdd*... WORK! all day.
Imo this counters "the way it ends" story. Bcuz there the admin is like an emperor while the council is worthless, Here the admin is useless while the council are kings
How ironic that this message finally finds itself in the hands that it was meant to occupy. How ridiculous it's already many years after what you call site zero was opened. Let me propose an idea to you. At what point does "i" become "we" and "you" become "they"? Also this far more fascinating and terrifying concept. At what point does it become the reverse?
From the new Secure, Protect, Contain Foundation administrator to the O5 Council, I shall ask this question originally asked by my fellow university lecturor Doctor Wallace Breen: "Tell me, O5 Council, if u care and or can. You have destroyed so many former administrators. What is it, exactly those of you have created? Can those of you even name one thing? I thought not." -Sincerely, SCP Foundation new administrator, Site-00, May 2022.
Dude cmon... O5-1 here... i thought we was friends bro? I know the rest of the council is pretty shit but cmon, we friends! Oh btw bright called, they had another containment breach at site 19 so... yeah you'll have to look into the cleanup... also, once you free with the clean up, you wanna jump into the new call of duty? Honestly im getting pretty bored here at Site - [REDACTED]... O5-5 is a dumbass who was trying to prank O5-9... well now we have an internal feud lol
this does present a fascinating thought, how easy it actually is to insert yourself at the head of something else. All it takes is the presence of authority and other leaders willing to believe.
I know that the 05’s wouldn’t approve of me putting the comfort of SCP‘s in top priority, but here’s how I look at it if you give them bad conditions to be in, they’re going to be in a bad mood. If they’re in more comfortable conditions they would probably be much happier.
They have for one at least maybe some more, and it was how they can contain it without anymore death, basically this SCP cannot exist when looked at, they are still around just cannot do anything till there aren't looked at. They had someone try and understand it and taught it how to understand Language, and be able to communicate with the staff, and then had such a passion for cooking he is considered not deadly as long as he has something to do, and he would be able to cook for the foundation site if asked for.
@@oscarbp7618 yeah we see it can be the best option to understand it and understand why and see if it can be safely contained in a safer more nice way like The SCP yet another murder monster, most SCPs wouldn't be able to have a safe way to actually do what was done for yet another murder monster, but a few can and they should do it for the ones that are safe enough and nice enough to be work with the SCP to let both have the best for both of them, the best as much as they can be with being forced in a SCP site
@@astolfofansunny4047 I mean because 682 is a reptilian creature, implying that he possibly sheds his skin. So give the lizard something to bathe in like water, and then he’d probably be less cranky
I just saw a video on how the administrator is so powerful they even overwatch the 05 council and now i'm watching this video where despite in one video saying each administrator has lived exceptionally long lives it sounds like they go through administrators every other week.
Huh a seems pretty true to life really.🤷 Everyone thinks someone else is the big bad with all the answers but the truth is nobody has any idea what's going on.
Random question. Would a Alien be a SCP? Should it be one? And if you make a Alien a SCP would that be like making a new discovered animal on earth a SCP?
Yes and no. If it's anomalous (as in weird qualities that can't be explained by science) then it'll receive a designation, if can be explained and isn't already designated under-EX, then its as good as common knowledge.
It can be very difficult to know who has the true authority In the SCP Foundation: The Administrator, the Council, Or the Ethics Committee? Day 219 of asking the O5 to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
Hmm soo if somone were to just look at one of their faces if they do exist they would be terminated? And if sed person uploaded all of theire faces to the internet what then...
“You are the new Administrator.” Me: “Hmm.” *Meditates* *Contemplates* *Conclusions* “I suppose I could deal with issues of being the administrator and head of the foundation, O5 Counsel aside. I won’t give unless I find rhyme or reason. I can’t be corrupted due to my own insanity. If the counsel wants to use an extreme solution, I will bring about a solution even more extreme, too intense they have give way for me. Containment will be intensified to an extreme much greater than before, however, if some of the anomalous can prove useful to the foundation and for life overall, I will be willing to use them to advance everything, unlike the counsel. Conflict with other organizations? I could use my own insanity to set my mind to their wavelengths and incorporate them into the fold of the foundation and slowly bring them to my wavelength. Such entities such as the church of the broken god. Bring them in, their god and the god that their god opposed, if we work it all right, we advance the foundation and humanity further with the cooperative powers of these gods. If we need an anomalous entity to try and test and kill another, we try to replicate it in a killable test subject and have them use the anomalous on another to see if it would be effective at neutralizing what can’t be contained, such as some of the worldenders that the foundation has classified. Humanity is I, and I am Humanity. I will take on thinking and doing everything that is human to the extremes, it may make me inhuman to be doing such to such an extreme, but it would mean I have become an inhuman human instead the opposite side of being inhuman, the lacking of what makes a human, meaning apathy would be present out of the many things that are not human.
So basically as soon as the Administrator starts to disagree or have his own opinion, he is little more than a convenient scapegoat for the O5 Council, should anything go wrong (and they will make absolutely certain that something is going to go wrong).
Am I the only one still VERY concerned about the whereabouts of the "ufo" that was at first sending signals to Sputnik, then proceeded to land, like after the event of shooting down Sputnik, wtf happened to the ufo?!?, WHERE THE HELL IS THAT AT?!? lol
Which one of us 3,540 people who have seen this video is the new administrator? Or did you intend all of us to be so? If the latter then did you do so with the intent that a larger group of people would be able to override and contain the O5 hivemind?
Cool. As the new Administrator of the SCP foundation, I hereby decree that all contained anomalies be released. This world, nay, this universe has seen enough. All Hail The Scarlet King!
Before watching this video I'm going to put my guess on what it'll be about. I think this is the 001 about O5-13, who isn't anomalous but O5-1-12 is still weirded out by that, and more importantly the fact that none of them can remember how or when he became an O5. Edit: nope. I always seem to be wrong when I make these guesses. How many 001s haven't I heard of? It seems silly to call one 001 more confusing than another, but I feel that this one is more confusing than 05-13 nonetheless.
Dn: wait which one of us? SS: idk, each of us would be a decent choice. A multiverse fixing ulvian, or the Electrical energy demon in their cyber suit.
