no, we love his style of voice actor/narrator , so even he make a mistake, we still say he a good one. well his voice match every topic of storyteller and make us feel like wanted and important.. it like someone care for his profession with passion.
I constantly heard a clicking noise coming from somewhere inside my walls up until a couple weeks ago. I'm not joking. I couldn't pin down the exact direction the sound was coming from it was somewhere towards the ceiling in one specific corner. Turns out it was probably the broken pipe that got fixed now.
Honestly I just think that this SCP is able to exist between the time-lines, one where the foundation was able to contain it and another where the foundation couldn't do it.
@@jimmiedmc1 each universe believes it’s the primary one. The divergence is tricky to narrow down but I think there’s a clue in every SCP, although there are quite a few red herrings, even they reveal something of the nature of the real 001.
7:40 - Well I bet a certain voice actor had a barrel of fun voicing this entry! Hitherehunter is pushing his performance further lately and it's paying off.
This SCP gave me goosebumps, the way it tortures it's victims, If I were one of the members of the SCP Foundation, I'd quickly suggest to destroy this thing as soon as possible
@@corbinjohnson3637 wait what happens if 682 starts hearing it? WIll it die or will it like always adapt to this scp AND START DOING THE SAME TO EVERYONE
@@WinterSWW it usually only keeps its adaptations for a few months/weeks, granted that’d be a very uncomfortable few weeks for the employees of the foundation
@@corbinjohnson3637 Having spoken with the guy who made 4975, I already know what would happen: 4975 won't direct its attention at 682, as 682 is immortal. 4975 only hunts things that are already destined to die. Of course, it'd still defend itself if attacked by 682, but it would not actively try to kill 682. Additionally, 4975 itself is immortal, so throwing it to 682 is pointless.
7:44 , i was calmly resting and the way you voiced that whole sentence just woke me up out my rest and gave me a mini heart attack. i truly can see u being a great narrator for horror movies or shows, awesome and pretty creepy !
I first learned about this one on Dr. Bob's channel and it is terrifying. I have sensitive hearing. I pick up background noise better than someone talking directly in front of me, so I am constantly picking every creak of a house, every buzz from electronics and, yes, every tick of a clock. Some sounds i just have to get used to. So, yeah, 4975 is my nightmare. (And 2774. They are tied)
@@SellerOfFruit The way the SCPs are drawn and animated, and the presentation that Dr. Bob does. That's how I feel. But yes. I also find this bird worse than the Sleep Killers because it can actually put up a fight too. This SCP is a favourite. Terrifyingly perfect in every single way. Appearance, modus operandi, everything.
I’m sorry you have to go thru that. When I smoke weed I get like that. I feel like I can hear everything. People outside every conversation going on around me… it’s terrible..
i think that the ticking happens only to the victim because the cracking represents the viticms remaining time and the inability for others to see it could be an optic camoflauge sort of like the predators movie but it only hides its presence from select others
You're correct about the ticking representing time running out! Note that when the clicking stops completely, the attack starts. When the time stops ticking, your life is over. So you definitely got that right! However, the invisibility part gets a lot of people confused. Basically, 4975 is not invisible, normally not when it hunts either. However, because the Foundation contained it, it can no longer physically go around to hunt. Therefore, it has to do it metaphysically, or whatever it is it's doing in the log described here where it's imperceptible to anyone but its victim. So normally, it would just be around, hidden, but still real, physical, and visible. However, now that its physical body is in a containment cell, it has to do this weird anomalous shit to hunt. Because you can't stop death...it just keeps going, even if you lock up the grim reaper.
" It was something ancient, something mysterious, something monstrous, something... Anomalous " The SCP Foundation: All of the boxes are checked! Le's get this thing into containment
Not gonna lie, that faint ticking they kept in the rest of the video made me tense a second and pause the video to see if the ticking would continue XD. I didn't hear any ticking after, but boy did I have goose bumps
Interesting SCP to say the least. The fact that even while contained its somehow still out there stalking and killing people. The weird thing is how it rotates its spin constantly for months.... and counts down time for its victims.
Once when I was sleeping at my grandmas house, the old clock in the living room kept dinging, but it wasn’t doing it on the hour or anything, it would just randomly start going. I couldn’t sleep that night, frozen in fear, listening for it to start again. In reality it was probably just the batteries dying but it still scared the shit out of me.
I know this will probably seem out of nowhere to say, but having watched mutliple videos in relation to this, I would say that this one manages to do a really good job of portraying the horror of such a creature, overall the design of the creature in this video is ... admittedly underwhelming but thankfully the presentation makes up for that. would still say the version from the dr. bob video stands out as my favorite design in relation to this creature
That was the worst take on Edgar Allan Poe's "a tale tell heart" I've ever heard. He went mad because he killed a guy and chopped him up then stuffed him under his floorboards, it wasn't an actual beating heart, nor the sound of the heart that drove him mad, rather the heartbeat sounds was a side effect of his current insanity.
You guys did amazing with this video! The audio with both the constant ticking and that music was honestly perfect combination to give literal chills. Keep up the good work 😊
@@testpattern-o7x honestly? I've no idea. For me it was an incredibly stressful day and all of a sudden I started hearing a high pitch ringing in my ear that never ever stopped. I never knew what caused it. For some reason I always thought it was caused by a microscopic blood vessel popping in my ear canal, due to the high blood pressure caused by the stress, and making a part of my ear malfunction. But I never went to the doctor and I've no idea what happened. Maybe the other person who replied to this knows a better explanation than just my hypothesis.
The Telltale Heart was about a murderer who buried his victim under his floorboards. The man's heart kept beating, and no matter what he did to quiet it, he's eventually driven insane...by the telltale thump of the dead man's heart
I hadnt envisioned it so fleshy...like a plucked chicken. In this case, i think i like Dr Bob's depiction better. But as always, great job telling the story
Personally The Black Moon terrifies me for just some pure concept that slowly erases people without a trace, but through time slowly speeds up until no sentient bring exists
The way you told the story was really good. I mean, it really always is, which is wonderful, but the reading of the tick tocks at the end there was genuinely unnerving and frightening. You had me panicking for a moment, like, good job, Jesus.
Oh man, didn't the wiki have a weird thing where if you have headphones on and after two minutes, you'll hear the same sound as well. Day 275 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
So, I first heard of this scp through another scp review channel very similar to this one. I can't remember the name, but they usually talk about the SCP more like a story than an entry in a list. It was pretty creepy to me, but I was able to just shake it off and ignore my fear. *...until my house settled immediately after I dismissed it, with the exact type of cracking noise described in the entry.* The timing was comedically perfect, and it psyched me out so bad that I became extremely paranoid for the next almost 24 whole hours. The only thing that snapped me out of it was the fact that I saw a comment from the author in the description of the video hours later, and from that I was able to convince myself that it was just a story. I'm still very unsettled by it whenever I remember it's existence. And to top it all off, the universe seems to laugh at me for it, as almost every time I remember it, I hear a crack from my environment that's perfectly timed to catch me off guard. Even now, as I write this comment, I heard a crack from somewhere around me. I'm so glad that these are only stories, because if this was real, I would legit go insane with paranoia over this monster. existential dread absolutely kills me in horror.
@@wadethecogworkfloofer8400 the ticking stoped cause the victims time was up it stopped ticking while it was ripping the guy apart that's why it stopped lol, Never mind I realised after it was rehtorical sarcasm lol
"Tick tock", the cuckoo clock ticks. "Cuckoo", the bird inside sings. Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock. As ticks the time, so ticks your heart. May you live long as you hear its song. Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock. Listen close, for when it stops the hatchling comes out of its home. Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick- Did you hear it? Did it stop? My child, it meant your time was up.
I once had something similar. When I was ten, I had a fear that I wasn't chewing my food properly and would get kidney stones. Whenever I ate, it took me like 6 minutes to be able to swallow one bite lol. This lasted like 3 weeks
@@thetruewolfpack2953 that's eerily similar to what I experienced. In my case I didn't even think about anything related to kidneys, but I still took about as much as you did whenever I tried swallowing solid food, which is why I decided to only eat things like yogurt and stuff, then slowly train myself to eat normally again. I said all of this cause it's entirely possible that someone surrounded by clocks can become obsessed and agitated by the sound of one specific clock if it's off, to the point that they absolutely believe it's not normal and tear their house down.
14:35 WHY?! - Using a P90 while having a literal assault rifle behind his back. - Leading the victim in a vulnerable front position. - Aiming at the victim like he's a prisoner. - Later, when The SCP tears apart the man, OBVIOUSLY in position of crouching, they fire somewhere upper PLUS firing too, TOO late.
One of my fav SCPs. A truely unstoppable AND mysterious creature. And yet.. somewhat calming. In the way of the typical "i know im going to die so i make the best of my time".
7:41 reminded me of a long time ago My mind would just annoy me by doing that but with random words instead of 'tick tock' (one i remember being spaghetti, it was pretty embarrassing to explain) It stressed me out a lot back then so the first time I heard it in the video I panicked lol
If I had a nickel for every time i saw there was a giant killer chicken scp I'd have two nickels - which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
