SCP 870 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Maybe There Monsters.
SCP-870 is an animal species of undetermined proportions and appearance, which, for unknown reasons, can only be perceived by individuals suffering from schizophrenia.
Specimens of SCP870 are highly predatory, and will typically stalk their prey for months and years without eating.

Yeah. I lost an uncle from schizophrenia. He chose to decline medication and to be homeless, then, I suppose it got worse, he ended his own life by alcoholism. Part of the disease is sometimes without medication you can become lucid and aware that your brain is playing games and the medications are very harsh in the body and have so many side effects that require other medications to combat. I can't blame him for not wanting to put himself through physical torture to maybe combat his illness but I'm also sad that he lived a tortured live regardless and chose a terrible way to leave it. This was made all the harder on his family because on his lucid days he'd visit and check in on us and leave when he was losing his grip again.

Totally agree. I've seen folks occasionally acknowledge that people with schizophrenia aren't dangerous, but very few go the extra step and mention how they are often subject to violence.

Bruh. Gotta write a new SCP-001 which will reveal that The SCP Foundation is a fiction made up by 13 patients who have mental illnesses. The 13 patients refer to themselves as O5 council, everytime they meet in the dinner room while it's afternoon, they start to share with each other so called spetial contaiment prosedures. If medical stuff interrupt at the meeting them they become aggressive. So no personal have to bother them and the better way to deal with the patients is politly remind them it's time to take pills. Something like this.

We still need to start investigating Just Some Guy With a Mustache. I believe him to be a SCP with reality bending abilities as he seems to possess the power to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. He also possess the ability to alter his appearance as he has been seen without his iconic mustache on more than one occasion. As you can imagine the power to blink in and out of reality at will combined with shapeshifting makes this SCP an incredible security threat.

I actually deal with schitzo-affected disorder and most of the time my episodes are minor and tangible and i can be fairly rational... Like, "i know the ceiling isn't breathing", "i know there is no monster crazily and freakishly crawling at me in the dark", or "there is no freaky Ring/Grudge like girl at the corner of the room swaying and smiling at me". But bad episodes... When my life feels like it is falling apart an the sense of TOUCH starts being messed with. I FEEL things ... Like the SCP kinda fucks with me guys, ngl. I could feel the pricks of paranoia similar to a bad episode. Ugh, thanks for the content, love the vids but damn did this make me feel targeted XD. Bed time is gonna be a horror show. Btw: yes i am in therapy, i have safety plans, meds, and things that help that aren't meds, prns, or phone calls and in person meetings; i.e. my partner, friends, chosen family, my three cats, and my grounding practices and hobbies. So, i am addressing and managing things... But life is stress and episodes can be bad. Most importantly if you have any paranoia you can't reason or manage go see a specialist and get help. Talking, meds, and making safety plans can literally save your life.

I suffer from ADHD, depression, anxiety, and a little OCD. All of these come with their own struggles but schizophrenia is terrifying to me. I thank God every day I'm not stuck with that nightmare.

My BIL was listening to a podcast about this SCP and Spotify derped on him and he had to reopen the app. When he did the podcast was talking about something else entirely. He realized it wasn't the same SCP but couldn't remember the name or number and the podcast used original stories rather than what's on the Wiki. He tried looking up the description of the creature and of course found nothing. He did end up finding it eventually. As soon as he started talking about it after the fact I knew exactly which one it was and we agreed of all the SCPs for this to happen with this was both the best and worst one xD

My maternal grandmother had schizophrenia, so I'm glad this SCP doesn't exist in the real world. There is actually a simple do it yourself test you can do to test to see if you have Schizophrenia. Just simply tickle yourself. A normal brain prevents someone from being able to tickle themselves as they process they are doing it to themselves. But a schizophrenic's brain is incapable of process one tickling themselves and thus are able to. Of course if you're hallucinations are of things people might see everyday you might not realize you need to be tested, but of course not all hallucinations are like that.

Not gonna lie- Switching from a fairly relevant and beneficial description of a often misunderstood illness and it's effects on its victims, then switching immediately to an internet creepypasta using schizophrenia as a jumping board is leaving me with mixed feelings.
