...Gensokyo and the events of SCP-6500 line up suspiciously well, honestly. "The decay of the supernatural is an anomaly" mixed with Gensokyo, which was MADE to counteract the decay of the supernatural. I'm really, really excited to see where they go with this.
Hmm...I wonder if places like Gensokyo exist elsewhere, and if they do, for example, one made in Europe, or North America right when the diseases collapsed their culture, I wonder what they'd look like?
@@JMObyx I can't think of much for North America but I can tell you if Europe has something like Gensōkyō of their own, it could probably be the fantasy land that was mentioned in the story of "Here were dragons"
TBH, I think the Foundation’s interaction with Gensokyo would be largely mundane. Gensokyo is largely self-containing, so the Foundation would either leave it alone or assist in maintaining the barrier. Yukari might work out a deal for them to provide her a D-class every now and then for the youkai to eat.
While it does mostly contain itself. It’s the cases where it doesn’t that are the issue like people being spirited away to or from Gensokyo or forgotten things just ending up there. Not even including the fact Yokai exist because people believe they exist (which would be dangerous if it got out). Not to mention the Lunarians.
Honestly this looks a lot more like GOC found them, seeing the extremely violent approach. For a lot of larger SCPs that affect a certain area, like a town, their general approach is more to secure the area around the SCP, and considering how the barrier pretty much does that for them, they probably wouldn't have to bother much with containment procedures.
I wouldn't say, it's hard to tell from the footage, it looks more like Gensokyo was found by both.In the beginning, documentation and symbolism are the SCP foundation, rockets and aviation are more like GOC with their love does not stand on ceremony.
@@BumponyRalsei So The Foundation found them first, sets up a small base for research though takes some for study. (Likely why Reimu was in the tube.) Then GoC attacks kills most of if not all Foundation forces but Reimu is set free.
@@BilitubePorter .. How so as the Chaos Insurgency uses SCPs while I thought Serpent's kinda got them out and maybe used them (it's late so my memory is a bit foggy)?
@@Vernas_R He said the GOC killed the foundation forces and freed Reimu but I thought it would be more likely for the Chaos Insurgency or Serpent's Hand to do that because the CI raids scp facilities and the Serpent's Hand free anomalies
@@codycombs8590 All of the people involve could be largely capable of pulling attention, especially an org like the SCP Foundation. The question is who among them would help fix it, because Reimu looks so done. Not to mention Yukari went "Adios" her way out.
I recall reading a parody scp article about gensokyo itself a few years ago. The article was about how its self containing but a small military force was stationed around the entrance just in case. And a few things about reimu and yukari too.
I seen two about Koishi and Hina respectively myself. For Koishi's the researcher studying her ends up letting her go in the end. (MTF definitely got his ass for that... if anyone remembered what happened.) Hina was kept in a standard furnished room and was let out occasionally to drain people of bad luck/misfortune with certain staff wanting to let her out permanently but was ultimately denied because the misfortune she carries can accidentally hurt others. She didn't mind though so long as she got to help humans.
@@Bear-bf1sd I'm not entirely sure. It was probably in an old pastebin years ago. I'll hunt around for it but no promises. It basically designated Reimu as SCP xxx A and detailed how little is known about the other creatures due to being kept out by SCP xxx B followed by a rather scary description of Yukari and what she does.
The irony here is that Gensokyo is essentially a SCP foundation of its own universe. Like replace the Disturbing entities and Facility with a Fictional Town filled with Yokais and Other colorful looking rosters of casts that are co existing one with each other under the Danmaku Rule since everyone has a power scaling that just goes off the charts,(that includes Cirno) and are monitored by the top dogs of Gensokyo and there ya go. So...a Collab between SCP and Touhou actually makes a whole lot of sense and fits than most would take it for granted.
I need to know the Touhou equivilants to SCP-682 and SCP-173 Obviously 096 is flan and bright's counterpart would be Marisa or maybe Errin... and Cirno is already an SCP in the form of 6959
Or late reply: SCP-6500. There is no single article to it, but it's essentially a giant catalogue for everything containing "the fading away of the anomalous and the spiritual."
@@Amber_Scarleti think fairies are kinda equivalent to 682 since they will keep returning as long as nature exists, i'd say flandre is 173 and 096 is yuuka(coz if you get near her flower fields you know what happens💀🙏)
I think Gensokyo will be a lot like the realm of the Wanderer's Library to the foundation. An area that they cannot explicitly access, but they know exists.
I'm a Japanese who loves SCP and Touhou. I am very happy to be able to collaborate with fan-made content from my own country and famous content overseas! Will Gensokyo, which accepts everything, accept the Foundation, or is it contained by the Foundation... very interesting! It may be difficult to understand because I am using translation. Have a good Touhou life, SCP life!
I can picture the file case now: Scp W. 2001 "Gensokyo" Gensokyo is a safe class scp. A self sustained and self sustaining dimension (or universe pending confirmation). Gensokyo are where mostly japanese mythology meets old world tech and ideas that have long since been used in the modern world such as old crtvs and youkai. Although the areas mimic old shinto era japanese architecture (and other eras around the same time), there seems to similar almost exact items you'd expect to find in post modern 1930's Japan (estimated). There is no known geographical location for other real world areas in Gensokyo. It seems to stretch on endlessly. There also appears to be about 3 versions of hell and a lunar civilization. Further expeditions need to be conducted to verify these claims. Unconfirmed reports of one expedition seems to show that a 2nd Gensokyo exists (see S.C.P. P.C.-98). Expedition teams have been unable to reach this version of Gensokyo. Thus for now it is put off hold but still noted on a secondary SCP file for further future references. Gensokyo itself has a barrier which keeps all inhabitants within it. Shrine maidens are typically dispatched to deal with any anomalies (henceforth refered to as "incidents") that may arise from time to time. Many more powerful youkai refered to as "sages" and "gods/goddesses" seem to have a footing on the weaker inhabitants and help maintain the peace inside Gensokyo. Still, incidents have been caused by them from time to time particularly a purple haired goddess in a mountain shrine (see reports below). We have recently made first contact with Gensokyo through a dimensional rift in a forest located in [REDACTED]. It was here that a group of Japanese kids were playing when they went too fae into the forest. They wandered into an old and (what they thought at the time was) abandoned shrine. The kids returned safely and memories erased once the location was obtained from them. It seems the rift cannot be located exactly and seems to change position everytime. It is estimated anywhere from 400 m to 500 m when entering the forest. All technological gadgets fail within 300 m of entering the forest thus the accuracy is based on constant time pace estimates. For the most part Gensokyo is heavily limited on who has entered and exited save for a few cases (refer to documents titled F.S.002 Chupacabra report and M.o.F. case files). All SCP filed subclasses refered to as "youkai" are controlled and within barrier limits. Further subclass SCP listings to be filed for later. A small village of human people have been spotted within Gensokyo. People there have little to no idea Gensokyo isn't connected to the real world. Attempts to further contact said village are in the works by both leading scientist personnel and the ethics committee and are pending approval. We have made contact with a youkai sage named Yukari Yakumo in her residence with 2 other youkai she refered to as her shikigami. She helped us better understand the area along with other information and helpful advice. When asked why her reply was simply "Eh i was bored this seemed fun". From initial reports of the conversation it seems youkai sustain themselves through several means such as dream eating and fear as well as needing people to remember them or know who they are lest they grow weaker / disappear altogether. The most common food source though seems to be human flesh. Pending approval to regularly send D-class personnel are in the works. Some local shrine maidens and residents will be hired to escort the expedition parties in the close future. Particularly a red clothing shrine maiden found near the entrance of the barrier. Tagging along are a black apron blonde haired self proclaimed magician and a green haired shrine maiden whom lives with the purple haired goddess in the mountains (there appears to be another frog goddess she keeps speaking of. Further verification is needed to support claims). Notes: -booze seems to be a very powerful trading tool in Gensokyo. Bring about 20 crates next expedition -Due to its contained natured Gensokyo seems to be a viable candidate for storing elucids and keters class SCPs. Approval by SCP foundation members and ethics committees have been approved. Discussion with Gensokyo inhabitants especially Yukari need to be approved to avoid potential future conflicts.
@Joshua Gómez Well, thaumiel means that you can and usually are used for containment. Gensokyou itself would be thaumiel but the beings inside could be a big range so its like scp having a -1 and things like that.
It was about time this finally happened. But when you come to think about it, at the end of the day isn't Gensokyo already a containment facility in of itself?
Beyond the fact that you can occasionally just get grabbed by yokai if you’re too close to the border. So I mean the easiest way to handle it is establish a perimeter around the barrier and then just drop D-Class off en masse near the borderz
I saw some posts on Touhou Reddit of fanfics about Touhou characters in the SCP universe because apparently Gensokyo collapses. Maybe something similar happens? Perhaps an incident occurs causing the characters to be dislocated to the outside world where they get contained?
What If? I kindly refer everyone to check out SCP 6959 That said, I kinda agree with what some people are saying. The Foundation knowing Gensokyo has a set space and size would just mean they'd built a perimeter/facility around it rather than an invasion (Though I'm sure they'll send a recon team of D-Class or drones if they have the chance). The Foundation are also not one that tends to resort to Violence if Diplomacy or other means are available. They're cold, not cruel. Like someone said this have more of a GOC vibes Edit: Plus the Foundation after researching Gensokyo for a bit, will learn that there are a couple beings (like the Sages) that they shouldn't exactly be pissing off if they can cooperate with there.
Yeah I think the foundation has enough reality warper level entities that they might not want to make anymore hostile. Hell the fact you can even talk to them and get them to help is a big positive for the foundation.
@@best271043 That entire scenario may or may not work with all the mythical creatures there and the fact it's barrier keeps it in a pocket dimension. That's not discounting the shenanigans the local yokai and gods can do.
I feel like the Serpent's Hand or the IJAMEA would have ties with Gensokyo. I could see Serpent's Hand and Patchouli sharing their libraries, or Marisa stealing from the Wanderers Library. As for IJAMEA, they would probably be the first to have knowledge of Gensokyo and that could have been how the SCP Foundation discovered its existence.
The first thought I have about this crossover is Reimu no longer need the donation box because the foundation funds her every need for maintaining the barrier and keep the creatures from crossing over to outside world lol
@@Koiishi_Komeiji man, you know you're a lost cause when you manage to stay poor even with the backing of an organization with practically unlimited funding.

Oh no. From the art style, the *_feels_* is gonna hit me like a trainwreck, isn't it? I feel like GFL all over again just from looking at this video. Where the hopes of humanity make everyone desperate and turn on each other.
Not even for “Giving Gensokyo a balance” they already do that every monday Doctor Bright is not allowed to challenge a D-Class to call one of the sages a hag,The Janitor isnt even paid enough for that mess
This is incredibly cool and unexpected. SCP and Touhou make a great match with all the powerful, highly specific youkai. As others mentioned, Gensokyo is like an SCP containment in its own way, so perhaps the premise of this could be prior to containment, the Gensokyans ran wild...
those emblems... the scp one we all know but the other 2... one is of the keybrand thing Takane and Nitori, both leaders among the kappa, presented as a coinside of the 2nd symbol that symbol is of what seems to be a MTF task force symbol, being multiple arrows entering a gate, also shown on and next to the corpse of a uniformed man with a sidearm by his side the keybrand (which I will be referring to as "Shrine Tenders") appears to be the symbol of a task force as well, appearing on a document of a unknown protocol, perhaps being a group being formed to deal with or against the kappa, both being reasonable due to different reasons. (to note, MTF Kappa already exists, being Kappa-10 "Skynet" the 2nd one is the gate (which I will be referring to as "Gatecrashers"), this group appears to be a combat ready group, considering the scene we have of a member dead on the ground armed. Gatecrashers seems to have been formed specifically around the discovery of gensokyo, but what I do find interesting is a couple of things. though gensokyo is a interesting case study, if the SCP were to attempt to enter it, they have teams that can handle all of the many aspects and occupants of it, so the forming of a specialized group seems odd, perhaps due to the variety, the SCP foundation decided to make a joint group of various teams to aid in coordination however there's another thing alongside that, which is potentially a story changer. the scene of the dead operative shows a unit with rolled up sleeves, simple forest camo and only a emblem on his sleeve the MTF typically wear full body combat outfits with every inch coated in the gear they need to counter anomalous foes, while the body show seems to be lacking more then a basic combat rig and sidearm and alongside that, the bloodied scene shows a fight that is rather strange for task forces trained in dealing with containment of anomalous things, the combat teams are a separate thing that wouldn't be deployed unless it was a dire emergency, especially not to deal with something multiple other task forces are already working on however, a force I could see sending in soldiers to a place such as gensokyo would be the Global Occult Collation, a force much more willing to exterminate rather then contain things such as gensokyo the use of missiles and military jets also supports this, as such things would only be used by Eta-5, and wouldn't be used against anything gensokyo would throw at the SCP foundation short of Suika. my current running ideas is such: The SCP and GoC both discover gensokyo separately The SCP foundation discovered it due to the containment and capture of Sumireko after discovering her psychic powers, and from there started launching expeditions to gensokyo, most likely using Sumireko's powers in some way. Likely catching her attention, Yukari herself also approached the foundation, the foundation likely brokered a deal with yukari in some way, the details to which I do not know. after some time, they take interest in the kappa particularly out of most youkai, eventually forming a MTF group to help monitor them, or perhaps they just choose the kappa to represent the youkai themed MTF squad. The GoC however caught wind of Gensokyo through unknown means, and without Sumireko or Yukari's aid, had no way to enter it peacefully, they ended up waging war on gensokyo, utilizing missiles and planes at some point. Perhaps due to this the SCP foundation ends up going to Yukari, who out of fear of what the GoC would do to Gensokyo, ends up making a deal Yukari ends up giving Reimu up to the SCP foundation, who then take her in to containment. after some time, they gear reimu up and recruiting her in sorts, with her ending up as a member of Alpha-9, or ending up with the Shrine Tenders. the SCP foundation works alongside Gensokyo to repel the GoC and protect Gensokyo, as the war would cause much more harm then simply containing Gensokyo. I'm not sure how much of this is accurate, but it's what my brain is going to, all I know is this is VERY interesting as a touhou fan and someone intrigued by the SCP foundation, I plan to keep a very close tab on this to see how it evolves - Luke C.
@@HyperVanilo id want to make the story more than just "foundation secures the area around gensokyo", id want there to be a reason for the residents to try to leave/fight back or a reason for the foundation to invade Or maybe i could make it so that the 2 sides work together for science purposes. Maybe i can even combine the 2 ideas
The Foundation would start throwing shit into Gensokyo once they realize that mythological and ficticious beings entering Gensokyo gets turned to an anime girl with a weird hat.
SCP x Touhou... Am I dreaming? This is what I am waiting for when I found out that SCP universe also has multiverse. More than 7 years, I hope it will not fail and disappointed.
the foundation would probably classify gensokyo as a nexus and leave them alone for the most part. The foundation could _probably_ win an all-out war, but it's just not worth it for them, as long as gensokyo keeps to itself. Sumireko might be at risk of being contained (or recruited) though. I doubt they'd appreciate her social media presence during VD.
The foundation better not touch the sunflowers. There's literally nothing they can throw someone who's deal is being really THAT powerful to compete with someone who can hax reality.
To back up everyone saying the GOC might have been responsible for the violence, Looking through the wiki in their Twitter, looks like the Foundation had a site around or inside Gensokyo and they may have been working with Reimu and Youkai all along The dead guy with the patch may have been an MTF member who's unit could have been working directly under or cooperating with Reimu to act more or less like border guards to keep anything from slipping in, or slipping out. As for why Reimu was in a tube... I'm going off on a limb here and say she and the MTF unit were attacked and she had been taken to the Foundation for recovery? Lastly, the GOC could have been the attacker's, namely SAPPHIRE, as they seem like the most extremist group within the GOC to try and directly attack Foundation members
And if what happens in the story is that Yukari for one reason or another disappears and the barrier with her, imagine the chaos that would ensue with the disappearance of the barrier and that's when the SCP foundation comes into action, it's crazy.
I wonder who would "second in command" then? Okina and...animal girl (god I cant remember her name 😅) Are the most likely candidates, but given that theey are even more reserved and less experienced in dealing with this sort of matter than Yukari is...hmm..idk
Gensokyo could easily represent a Class-K Scenario if Yukari wanted it to become one, but since it's a sanctuary and refuge, AND intimately tied to Earth (being the place where what doesn't exist Outside the Barrier exists within the Land of Fantasy and Illusion), the Foundation would benefit far more from a non-interference policy, declare the place "Archon", and leave it be. Hell, if they played their cards right, the Youkai could HELP the SCP Foundation by operating as a sort of "Thaumiel-class Anomaly" since some of them genuinely love Humans.
Foundation will invade gensokyo, which will cause it's outbreak and total ruling of youkais in fear of humanity dying. Or will cooperate with it, helping maintaining the barrier, and possibly being When Day Breaks safe zone? Or will keep ignoring gensokyo as it was and will still keep up the same as it was. Brainstorm would conclude to second variant, though some researches would be still done.
Honestly, what happens to gensokyo would depend on how dumbass militant the foundation is depicted as. If the foundation is fucking dumb, shit like this trailer happens and nobody has a good time but realistically, if the foundation is smart, they'll realize that Gensokyo's survival means it contains itself, and limit themselves to research and making deals with Yukari/Reimu.
Yukari Yakumo is the entire SCP in gensoukyo, O5 needs to shake hands with her first. She can also pose as a threat well above Keter if said handshakr doesn't go well.
not really shes a reality warper her ability manipulation of boundaries is just fancy talk for reality warper also the scp lvl isnt just about how strong an anomoly is its about how hard it is to contain. a button that can destroy earth is considered safe not cause it of its danger level but how easy it is to contain. Keter Class while a good chunk of them are very dangerous, most of the time they are also extremely hard to keep contained hell a number of spcs would be able to beat her and some not even keter class or thumal class. and the foundation does have a special group of mtf that specifically deals with beings like yukari and thats jsut the foundation the GOC would be extremely hostile to her and have killed and destoried anomolies and some like yukari
This is a really cool concept! I feel like a lot of people are totally missing the point of the foundation in the comments which is that it can be painted in whatever light the writer wants to. I think mixing these two worlds in this way is pretty awesome and could lead to some very interesting interactions.
This makes me wonder how they would try to contain some of the beings in Gensokyo, especially those not bound by reality and physical/conseptual boundaries. How would they contain Yugi who can smash through any material known to man, and Suica who can do the same with the addition of being able to turn herself into mist, manipulate density, alter her size, create copies of herself among a few other things?
For the one who can destroy anything, how about some anomalous material? Then the one who can do all that other stuff, the foundation has contained some reality benders more powerful than that.
@@thesleepytyrannosaurusrex297 well, in crossovers of 2 different "worlds" thats a problem. The rules of the first may conflict with the rules of the second. And although these worlds(SCP and Touhou)have some common features, they are completely different. May be reality bending and density manipulation have a different principle of functioning, and measures to handle first will be useless against the second. And you have to explain the functioning and laws of one world without violating the laws of another, this is a problem with crossovers. In addition, the SCP universe is one big box of fanon stories with different authors, some of which are out of place, while others are hastily tied with blue threads. So it’s impossible to clearly explain anything, and everything depends solely on the wishes of the author of the crossover, it’s simply pointless to look for some kind of lore, meaning or rules here. About SCP content, it might sound like whining about “it used to be better”, but seems like the longer this fandom lives, the more f¥€ked up the stories become
@The Sleepy Tyrannosaurus rex If memory serves they haven't got a way to deal with anyone that can pass through dimensions or can phase in and out of reality at will. So Yukari, okina, and Reimu Would be beyond their means of containment, and if they can't contain Yukari; then that is a big problem for them if they try to contain anyone close to her.
What if they have Flandre destroy the very existence of the indestructible reptile SCP-682 It could be a cool little story where it's a back and forth between foundation staff, the 05 council and the gensokyo peeps on whether or not to continue with the procedure. Cause if for whatever reason Flandre would fail, the creature might aswell evolve past the concept of not existing essentially gaining a higher form of immortality.

@@ignis2638 IKEA is a different case though. People where disappearing there, of course the Foundation had to meddle. With Gensokyo, they know what it is, but no innocent bystanders are being harmed. Cause no mortal knows where the passage or entrance were to Gensokyo.
From what I saw in this crossover, SCP is also doing what does best in Gensokyo: in their zealotry to contain and secure, they end up causing more trouble and taking more bad decisions than they intended (containing the walking keystone of Gensokyo that's Reimu, what could possibly go wrong?) and endangering humanity even more, now are waiting for sheer luck to save them. I kinda wish Yukari arranges to everything solve itself in the end and be like "Haha, that was a funny little adventure, right? *Now, leave!*"
I think you underestimate the capabilities of the foundation, if this is a setting where both sides are hostile to one another, the foundation would bring forth their full arsenal and technology, including their thaumaturgy specialists and, in particular, reality anchors that could hinder of even fully supress some of the powers that certain yokai have.
Judging by the “de-boundary” title & at 0:41 something has most likely happened to Yukari probably means the Hakurei Barrier is gone Also at the end what I think is “Wandering with their own foolish will. Must meet the inevitable fate” possibly means that the SCPF are the antagonists. And because of the nukes, it could mean that something similar to 1730 has happened or Gensokyo has to be terminated for currently unknown reasons
If any were contained by the SCP foundation, they would inevitably break out, because if it's a cute girl, some scientist, or D-boy enables their escape. Every. Single. Time.
The SCP foundation were asked by SCP 343 to make sure that gensokyo is protected against multiple other organisations of interest, just to make sure that they do not provoke a war between both powerful deities of interest on both sides
WTF did I just watch?! I thought it was just a cool video, but this is legit PV for a coming indie game? I don't know if I'll like the gameplay but if the story is half as intense as this I may be hook-line-and-sinker.
Hard to say for sure. A person in comments on jp version of this stated that both Twitter and Discord of the developers are silent so it's either dead and abandoned or in very-very slow production... Although I feel like first one is way more possible unfortunately
