Wellington Jighere is a Scrabble legend. A former World Champion (the first ever from Africa) and multi-time African champion with countless other titles to his name, few other players can match his résumé. In one game from 2023, he made an absolutely remarkable move in his all-time highest scoring game - another unique accomplishment in a career full of them.

Whenever you show the player's rack pre-bingo I always pause for a couple of seconds to try to find it myself but never accomplish in doing so. Affixable especially was a great find! Excited for the Will vs Wellington matchup. You know, they don't call you the Dick Fosbury of chess for nothing.

The dictionary does have some very silly high-scoring bingoes. I think my favourite (because I actually got to play it in an online game once and spent the entire rest of the game giggling about it) is VAJAZZLE, which Collins defines as "to decorate the female genitals with jewellery". Sadly, VAJAYJAY is not yet valid. Please get on that, Scrabble lexicographers.

Great video as always with some excellent play and historical context! I noticed in this video there are more word challenges than I'm used to seeing - are these done purely from a defensive standpoint, like on the off chance it's not a valid play, it's worth sacrificing five points to challenge them off? Someone help please! I've tried so hard to find the highest scoring single scrabble move *Actually Played In A Tournament* and I haven't been able to at all as every search result is just the theoretical best --- looks like cross-tables as used by will here would be helpful but I can't figure out how to search single moves let alone order by highest scoring. If anyone could help find a list I would appreciate it so much!!!!
